I am surprised that N has space for 50 more buses in the garage at the moment, because even before 432 returned to N, there were always buses parked outside the garage at nights often blocking the Norwood Bus Garage bus stop, so maybe there wasn’t assumed to be enough space at the time, even though maybe there was. I was surprised as well, it looks pretty full as it is to me and as you say buses are always parked on the road outside overnight. Yes, it amazes me how many buses they manage to get in there after all of N’s gains in the past couple of years, (468, 249, 157, 202) with the only losses being 133, 176 and part of the 137, and the 432 which has since been regained.

Given the operations now at N, does the groups assumption that re the 2017 bid for the 196, that Arriva were the company that withdrew their bid due to lack of garage space, now look flawed? To the point there were some 432 drivers telling people to use the St Julians Farm Road stop rather than the garage stop

No buses are parked outside overnight that is simply the overspilling queues. The exact same also happens to WL.

I think that is more down to the speed the 2 lane line can deal with the run in. If you there after midnight, they tend to bring them in from my experience

Was the training school there at the time I think so, but how big was it? 202 and 432 moved in since and lost about 8 137 LTs

The same is seen at many garages, especially ones that has night buses and the drivers may park them at the stop outside the garage when on break. This is seen at [T], [NS], [WN], [AR], [HK], [AD]

Where did the 16 reg HVs that used to sometimes appear on the 142 when it was still with Arriva, end up? I would normally consult the LVF finder website to check this but don't know the fleet numbers of the buses in question.

The 16 regs were SW's not HV's as they're Streetdecks rather than B5LH Gemini 3's

They're allocated to route 340, although for some reason all are out on the 102 today.

They had some reliability issues after AD took over the route, so were kept on the 329 which runs right by the garage. You wouldn't want to breakdown miles from the garage on the 340! All sorted now, but drivers may prefer the HVs or T's. They are mostly on the 102 as well. Are Enfield ordering EA's for the 307?
