If it does happen, imagine the amount of people travelling to work(myself included) on a Arriva route. We’ll be done for. I'm gonna have to take the train on that day. The 232 would be bursting with passengers Not just one day let's see how long this goes on for before TfL step in and award routes to other operators

Just over a month ago, LT140 was working the 211 at V. Now it's on the other side of London forming the first Arriva 248!

Not that many other operators have much garage space or many drivers to take on current Arriva work. In addition to London Forest mentioned above, ironically involving some of the same routes such as 38 and 123, another company who lost London bus work when they went on strike was London Country North East. A route involved then and now is route 313.

Looks like there will be no more tridents at TH. A driver sent me a picture this morning of T8 with its blinds removed.

The SEe's at GAL will have no trouble displaying the 123 when they get the route after the dispute enters week two At least they can take solace in Grays still running so the 248 won't return to Stagecoach just yet Ironically I was by Arriva's offices in Theobalds Road, Holborn (they moved there from the digs on Cally Road) and there's a lot of activity (I was fixing a laptop at a company a floor below) so I'm sure they are trying to thrash out a deal with the unions as we speak before the inevitable day. If there's no breakthrough I cannot even see toothless TfL sorting it out. I doubt Sadiq will drag any representatives to Immoral Castle in E16 (new TfL digs built to replace City Hall in Lockdown) and demand an explanation to 46 routes being out of action. This is more serious than one or two garages for a day Can't see any London South garages covering the 19 or 243 for instance

The ex-264 buses (which almost never went on the 264) probably aren’t replacing anything as the 307 needs them at E If anything I thought they'd be replacing the remaining 08 reg T's at DT as refurb floats (not sure where DT are at with T301-T331's refurbs) but they still seem to be going strong. Whilst these DW's leave though, DW259-DW271 which were stood down after the 264's loss are gradually re-entering service, though I feel this won't be the last we see of DW501-514 at TC. I think once the new Electroliners arrive for the 307 unless they're needed elsewhere in the country they could be used to replace DW259-DW271 at TC and see out the 194 contract. DW513 and DW514 look like they're on the move too. Off the top of my head : T301/3-5/10/1/3/5/6/9/21/7/9/30 are refurbished, plus I’m assuming recently re-entered service T308 is done too, but haven’t seen it recently - so they’re about half way through the batch.

So far on the first day there are lots of people already not fans of the new 248. If anything will unify the entire bus community clearly it’s a hatred for LTs and Streetlites…

They might be dark beasts of the road by sitting next to the sliding window on a hot day is like heaven. The windows are so much better than conventional buses, so much air through it.
