Quick question about the G2 HV fleet.
Would I be correct in my assumption that the 11-reg and older (HV46 and lower) are to pre ECWTA specification, and HV47 and newer are built to ECWTA spec? If so, are there any visual differences. I suspect there probably are slight differences on the lower rear as per the DW, but never looked out for this.

HV47+ the most noticeable difference is they do not have opening emergency exits. Instead they have Emergency Exit Glass and Break glass hammers.

There has been an unofficial strike this morning at Palmers Green garage by one driver blocking the garage, very limited service. Interestingly wasn't AD one of the garages that weren't in favour of the pay deal? AD and AR, according to the post capitalomnibus left above, were the garages that voted against - AD in particular rejected it by a huge margin.

Good on the driver for what they did. Good to see she had many people behind her too. Shows a lot.

Technically that’s a criminal offence when picketing, official or otherwise. In addition she could face dismissal if the union hasn’t called its members to take action because they think the dispute is settled.

Blue Demostrator Electroliner LY71GJE Now at Arriva BN Wondering if that's down to be mapped on potential electric routes up for tender, 59, 133/333, 137 etc Out of interest it was reported at Morden Station today, the 157 coming to mind on that as it's pending award

There has been an unofficial strike this morning at Palmers Green garage by one driver blocking the garage, very limited service. Gosh a wildcat walkout, don't see many of those. It caused a loss of between 10-12% of daily mileage lost. It took after 8am to get most buses out. Initially many of the routes were running 2-4 buses up until near 7am!

It is such a shame some drivers are mis-informed and clearly do not do their homework. As one driver said in the statement. They mentioned their wasges has not gone up that much in 15 years, which imo is total BS. I think the driver really needs to go back and look at thier 2007 wage bills and they would be in for a shock. To say 11% is not enough and way below 12.3% inflation as the LBRFC put it is insane. Being 1.2 is very close to the 12.3% The term of pay cut that keeps being used is laughable. If they really want to know what pay cut is, then go back to London Forest in 1991, or recently during the pandemic when many of the airline workers took salary cuts. Statements like this really boil my blood “Look, we voted against this pay offer. It’s no good. Why is it that when we are on strike, London General buses are working, and when London General are on strike we are working. It’s no good, different companies but the same union. The union reps from all the bus companies should all get together and fight as one.Because it makes little sense; unless all the other companies are looking for the same pay deal. Unless you know their pay and terms & conditions it makes no sense. It is almost as bad as saying when Tesco are striking, then Sainsburys should be striking. Clearly, does not have a clue how unions or companies work Another Tottenham driver said he voted the deal down because, “it’s not enough for what we do. We are working today while others are out on strike: rail workers, posties. Why is it so divided? We need to be all together on the same page. I have lost faith in the unions. Is this the way the world works? The shareholders always win, and the workers always lose?Another driver who has not done their homework. If they did not know T&G is technically Unite, it was merged with another Union and they changed the name in the mid 2000's. It was no different imo, in some ways worse. It was very much a different ball game in the early 90's because it was NOT Arrriva or other bus operators, but mainly London Transport and public ownership (bar a few private companies) The last driver we spoke to said, “I have only come back into the bus industry recently, in the last two years. I was a bus driver in 1989 to ’95. That was when we had the T&G [Transport and General Workers Union], which was much better. When we went out on strike the whole of London went out on strike, not like today, company by company. There were no second ballots or third ballots, only one was needed.”
