YouTube seems to be a haven for unconfirmed drivel being stirred by other enthusiasts these days . That’s why it’s funny at the end of the day when someone posts something after hearing it from someone or something rather than from the horses mouth, and then that person must feel embarrassed and ashamed for not being truthful in their post, and must quickly correct it as you’ve just clearly witnessed. As the old saying goes believe all of what you see, half of what you read and none of what you hear. Although with social and mainstream media being a joke these days I don’t believe anything I read anymore 😂

DW543 and DW544 have become the first two buses to move over to TC to become part of the 466's allocation. Hopefully the 08 reg T's stick around for a little while yet though. An interesting fact is that these could be the first two double deckers at TC to receive the new style white blinds despite them being around for four years now! I thought DW550-554 were part of the 230's batch along with DW579-586 though (according to vjaska 's fleetlist), unless AR intend to keep hold of their youngest DW's. Snapped DW545 in Caterham-on-the-Hill whilst I was heading for the shops and it does indeed have new style white blinds. At long last they finally make their way to TC’s double deck fleet flic.kr/p/2jf828UEDIT: I also drove past DW547 on my way back so decided to stop and get a photo of this too flic.kr/p/2jfaUhb

Will be interesting to see what they’ll look like on the 194, 264, 312 and 412.

I assume Redhill on these new style blinds with Arriva gaining the 405 in just over two months.

100% agreed. Some of the best Euro 5 examples out there. Remember T118 being the one I had on the first day of operation. Even though it was pre-refurb at that point, it and its counterparts were light years ahead of the self-destructing Volvos Abellio used which struggled to keep up with the timetable. Three/ four (can't be totally sure) of that batch caught fire (some on the 157; some after it was lost) - really can't be a coincidence. I guess it was sad to see the TAs go but they were down to four by that point so the chances of getting one was much lower. Fun fact though is that some LWB VLAs were reblinded in 2016 and ended up with the 157 on their sets. Of course the 157 drivers are from TH, so none were ever able to take one out due to not being type trained. Would've been nice to see it happen anyway. I remember seeing a photo of VLA blinded for the 157, must try and find it - that would have been awesome to see, those 03 plates were brilliant buses. But yes, I totally, totally agree with you - the E400s Arriva use are light years ahead of those awful B7s previously used. The refurb of the 59 plates was really good too - lovely extra padding applied to the seats and the paint jobs remain shiny 3 years later! I hope the refurbished Ts at TH have good padding on the seats too.

With LOTs reporting the 285 & K1s buses are not due until August ... imagine the HT's for N and TC could be late ... assuming Arriva are drawing up contingency plans for this scenario.

Could be more of an issue for the 405 due to its earlier start date, they might be fine for the 202. I imagine the ADL factory shut down during the summer won't happen this year so they could catch up during those weeks.

Personally would not be surprised to see N get HT1-17 and TC HT18-28

Funny enough the 12 DWs due to move to TC from route 230 would be able to cover the 405's allocation completely when they take over the route in August. This could be their back up plan considering the newest DWs at TC have new style white blinds which must feature all of the 405's curtailment points (not just the 405D's). I definitely think Arriva (if they have to) will prioritize getting the HTs in service first on the 202 than the 405.

I expect Arriva might loan Go Ahead's WHVs if needed, they should be available in the short term and are a familiar type to Arriva at N.
