With the ENXs on the SL5 and the 289 being decked, I wonder where this leaves ENX31 and ENX32… Sending them to GY for the 347 & 375 would be a good move could potentially stay until 2030 if both contracts are retained at the next tender. Perfect fit for two routes with PVR 1. With the ENXs on the SL5 and the 289 being decked, I wonder where this leaves ENX31 and ENX32… Now the 347 isn't being withdrawn, they would be perfect for GY. Would complete whole 347 and 375 allocation and oust ex SLN ENLs. In fact I make that this would withdraw all ENLs? When the 325 goes and the 255 goes Electric yes all ENLs will be withdrawn also if the current spare ENXs replace TCs remaining Voith ENLs.

There would still be 5 ENLs left on the 166. I wonder whether Arriva will choose to replace the remaining ex Stagecoach ENLs on the 166, 347 and 375 with their own ones off the 325 when it moves to Go-Ahead? The 255 also probably needs a couple of them to replace the ENS still regularly being used on the route until its electrics arrive. The ENSs don’t need replacing, they’re probably just spares as they’re probably more reliable than the ENLs. 255 even has more than enough ENLs— 12 ENLs for a PVR of 9.

There is only one ENS still running, probably just temporarily covering but certainly as you say, no need for extra ENL’s for the 255

I’ve seen photos of ENXs with the Superloop livery and I most say they look ugly with the Superloop livery the livery doesn’t suit it at all.

I think it will sit better on a body style with cleaner lines. It should suit electric single deckers well as these have a higher roof line to display the route details.

ENX28 also looks run down, the blinds are ripped, I wonder what will happen to that one too It looked good here after a new style route blind replaced the old style ripped ones at the front. With the introduction of new Superloop route SL5, South Croydon garage becomes Arriva London South's biggest garage in terms of PVRs. It will be interesting to see in the future if the garage gains routes 198 and 410 in the future with routes 50 and 194 moving into Thornton Heath garage in their place.

But even a logon is promising for the vehicle. It was out today: flic.kr/p/2pwcADR (Not my photo)

I’m really against branding up so many more vehicles than the route’s PVR, must be a nightmare for flexibility and a huge excess of buses that have to sit around idle

When I saw it earlier this afternoon, the blinds were blank and a yellow piece of paper showing Purley, like the T buses.

Aren’t Superloop buses only restricted to routes they run on.

Aren’t Superloop buses only restricted to routes they run on. They shouldn’t be on other routes. I wouldn’t be surprised if ENX28, 31 & 32 end up on the 312 alongside some vehicles from the 325.
