Route 242 leaves Arriva tonight and its longtime home of Clapton Garage. With the exception of a short stint in the late 2000s when it was run out of Stamford Hill, the route has been based there since it was created in 1998. The last bus this evening will be running number CT 11, forming the 0055 departure from Aldgate and worked by HV233 LJ17WVH. Don't forget the short time AR ran the night service from 2008 - 2009.
I have always had a soft spot for the 242 and remember the Kentish Bus Olympians on the route when it was the 22B. I used to find route handy when it ran to Tottenham Court Road as it was usually fairly empty between there and Bank compared to he 8 or 25.
I preferred when it went TCR also, since then I would say the route is near pointless now. It took me ages to get used to it after so long of the 22A and 22B, as the 242 I knew was the one in Potters Bar area.

Also quick question, how do you know what the last bus is and it’s registration plate and running number because I’ve been dying to find an app/website which tells you this information in advance I guess he probably looked at the schedule and matched it with one of the buses on route near timing on LVF

Would there be enough chargers at BN to facilitate the 319, 417, N137 and the 50? I do not believe all the work is carried out as yet.

Had a little nose at SF on my way home, all the 254's are finishing there tonight with HV245 ferrying the drivers back to AE to finish. A bit sad to see the 242 go, I didn't mind that route. Last buses from each end will be HV233 on running number 11 duty 27 (00:54 from Aldgate Stand) and the last bus from Homerton that doesn't become a N242 is running number 6 which is on HV241 (23:45 from Homerton).

LBR is suggesting the new PVR for the 312 will be 14. There are only 13 EMCs, one of which has not been seen since Sep '22, and 3 others not seen service this month, so it will have to give up it's claim to be 100% (on paper at least) electric,

Had just noticed the TBC as well.

If the earlier post about Old Lodge Lane not being suitable for 10.8m buses is true, then the ENXs from TH will probably have to be used on the 166 with the 312 using some of it's ex Stagecoach ENLs.

Thats what the driver originally stated, 325 ENLs could only form a part of the allocation and they will be using a few more from another route. I would think they would just displace the ENLs on the 166 with ENXs from the 289, like londonbuses says.

Do we know how soon Stagecoach will take over the whole site?

you see how these 3 series were originally new to the 149 with green blinds, is the 341 in the green blinds? list the bus routes that were in the green blinds for AR.
