Someone put on the fandom that the 198 will go to N to allow the 50 to go to TH. Is any of that actually true? No this is correct and is not a rumour. The 198s HAs will move to N and will still be driven by Thornton Heath drivers just like the 157. The HVs being refurbished with LED blinds also works to the garage advantage because 198 drivers can also be type trained on HVs. TH will go 100% EV as per the tender notification released when the results came out. Many doubted the 50 will move and I have been saying this will happen.

Apparantley it'll be similar to the 157s, buses parked at N with TH drivers Surely this time the drivers will need to be type trained on HVs and/or HTs as there will be no other route to take vehicles from if a NSB I'm quite sure HAs and HTs aren't much different to drive, so I'd expect those two types to start straying onto 198/202 first.

Surely this time the drivers will need to be type trained on HVs and/or HTs as there will be no other route to take vehicles from if a NSB I'm quite sure HAs and HTs aren't much different to drive, so I'd expect those two types to start straying onto 198/202 first. Would need to train the drivers on camera mirrors if they hadn't already on the ES fleet

I believed it was true the moment the article from Arriva themselves was shared on here saying TH was going to become a fully electric garage and for that to happen, these transfers would have to go ahead to achieve it. You can't get anything more concrete than from the operator themselves

I was going to release this officially but it has already been talked about, yes the 198 HAs are moving to Norwood but the route will still be based at TH. It will be like the 157 but not sure what it will be like on Sundays, details like that haven't been released yet. The 50 and 194 are moving to TH.

If true, that’s a bit unexpected. I would’ve thought 198 would have its buses parked at TC rather than N Presumably not enough space at TC since they gained the SL5? TC should still have space as 264/403 were replaced by SL5/405, but there is still space from the 197 loss

N has tonnes of free space so sending the 198 there instead of TC is a no-brainer. I also believe there were some HAs parked there for rail-replacement so if they are still there could act as extra helpful spares

I would send them via Central Hill, Anerley Hill, Anerley Road, Elmers End Road, Elmers End Green, Upper Elmers End Road, Monks Orchard Road, Bridle Road, then LOR to the stand I think the low bridge can be avoided by turning onto Manor Road and Sunnybank
