The 217 is still being operated from AR right? Yes, though Palmers Green also provided some buses such as HA15 and HV167. (HV167 is back on 141) HA16 is an AR bus now, along with the ex TH T's. It's still out on the 217

Seems like 64 allocation is ES17-27, 35-37, 151-152, 154-155, 157-158 plus another 24 plate ES tracking under tmp00629. ES23 and 36 haven't entered service yet though.

Coincidently had to use 279 today to get back from Waltham Cross after my 217 trip (people who follow my posts will know why). Not sure if I got lucky, but driver floored it until he caught up with another 279 in front. Not the biggest LT fan, but much rather run into those as opposed to an hoovering T, which I often spot when in Manor House. Nah, I'd still take a T every time, even a dreadful one over a LT, especially in this weather The one thing though I'll say about routes that have LT's is I noticed they tend to have either drivers or a schedule that are a bit quicker or have a less padded schedule.

I can confirm that last one tracking under TMP00629 is ES149. And I did see ES23 operating on the 64 yesterday, not sure why it's not tracking at all.

Each to their own ofc but I have never and still not got a good thing to say about LTs. I would not even step a foot on them. Worst ever buses imo. As I said I probably got lucky. I’d rather caught an DW, plus I wanted to tick this route off for an while. Outside of this is actually an rare moment you’ll see me defend LTs. I don’t disagree with the remark of them as worst buses out there. An disgrace to the sturdy RT/RML buses. I'd have to say that the Ts on the 279 are (in general) in a noticeably worse condition than the LTs, though this might be different in other Arriva garages (I feel quite sorry for anyone who took the 64 before its ES conversion). But still, both aren't great choices for buses to take, and I'd definitely still rather take an T (or a DW if I'm lucky) rather than an LT, especially in the summer. Ditto the LTs are probably some of the worst buses out there.

Ditto the LTs are probably some of the worst buses out there. Is like LTs get away from withdrawal. The 313 use the first LTs and it is gonna be up for tender in 2026. Whilst 279 on the other hand got a new contract awarded with Es for 7 year contract rather than Ts for a 3 year contract.

When the Ts were new around 2012 they were nice buses to travel on. Heck I remembered when the clapped out DLAs were on the W3 before it's Ts came in and man did they struggle to get around Ally Pally on those hills. Especially the S-Reg ones I had to hope and pray the engine didn't cut out once we reached the top 😂😂

Ditto the LTs are probably some of the worst buses out there. The T buses that were on the 64 were very bad. Every one of them could not climb the hills. I drive the 198 which has hardly no hills and if I get a T bus on the 198, it even struggles on there, I don't know how the 64 drivers put up with them.
