There used to be a Saturday service from Waterloo back in the day - and that was with noisy Routemasters. Sunday services could be operated from other garages. It's not an insurmountable issue. It is a privately owned site - it's not for TFL to decide who gets the site. There's not really much in the way of maintenance facilities anyway - just the shed at the back for two buses. Maintenance can be done at Camberwell - or the shed rebuilt. The bus wash would also have to be changed. I don't really see what it is to the locals whether the bus is a double decker or a single. The 11 used to run from there with old noisy buses - technology has moved on and buses are much quieter now than they were then. Note,their is a deal between TFL/Lambeth and the residents not to run DDs from there. That's, why the 11 only ran on M-F only. IIRC route 11 moved to RA on Mon-Sat in 1993 then in 1994 the Sat service moved to SW and was converted to opo, as on Suns.

The Monday to Friday allocation followed on 31st October 2003. The shed at RA is fully equipped to do the maintenance on single deck electric vehicles. No double deckers since 2003 is a fairly clear indication that there is a local agreement that only single deckers will operate from there.

To be fair, Go-Ahead have long had enough space not to put deckers into RA so whilst it could be a thing that there is a local agreement, I don’t think it’s clear at all.

I very much doubt if there is any such agreement about only operating single deckers from RA, as far as I'm aware the residents concerns are soley about noise. The current 507 and 521 allocations more than fill the garage so there's no room for anything else.

I believe training fleet deckers would often stable in RA during the day or during lunchtime so I don't see what the issue with Deckers would be.

Mentioned by a HCT employee on Twitter that the 616 on paper will be getting two new BYD/ADL E400 EV's which are on order, though it will use that E400 EV demo and the ex Tower Transit B9TL on loan for the full 616 takeover in February until the new buses arrive.

Will all new bus orders to Zero Emission or can Hybrids still be ordered?
Will all new bus orders have the new camera mirrors rather than the standard wing mirrors? If yes, what is the newest batch of vehicles with the (old) standard wing mirrors?

As far as I understand hybrid DDs can still be ordered, although operators are not keen to invest in buses that will only have a limited life in London.

Have these orders been confirmed officially? With the cuts announced today you would have to expect that the 94 will be contributing part of the 49 allocation when it moves to RATP.
