Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night all, In this space below will be an upcoming list of the routes and their dead mileage to and from their destinations and their garages.
NOTE: I DO NOT intend to copy anyone's work at all.

The TfL bus schedules page will be useful for this endeavour. If you dissect the info you should be able to get most routes and their dead runs.
Do you include light runs for driver changeovers and meal reliefs in this too?

I for one think this is an excellent idea and is highly original. Well done on coming up with a great idea! Look forward to seeing the results! Thanks - really appreciate it. I want to show this forum that I can act on my mistakes and improve vastly on them. No problem! Something I think would be good to see in this document: - Numbers of dead runs to each terminal on each schedule (as TB123 mentioned the TfL Bus schedules page will give you this information and you can then use a formula to multiply the mileage by number of dead runs to work out the total dead mileage on each schedule). If you need any help with dead running routes for LC routes feel free to drop me a DM.

Something that I don't know is how many dead runs each route has.

Don't feel any obligation to put this in, was just an idea. ๐

NOTE: I DO NOT intend to copy anyone's work at all. Don't want to be pedantic here but are you going to take the distance between garage and terminus as the fastest route by road as recommended or take the distance as the crow flies?

Good question and itโs worth considering that even the quickest route it may not be the safest or suitable for all bus types.

I will now measure it using the fastest route by road. An inportant point to make here is that the fastest route will not always be the route that can be chosen as factors like low bridges have to be taken into consideration.

Good question and itโs worth considering that even the quickest route it may not be the safest or suitable for all bus types. Its also especially unhelpful when some online sites recommend several routes from A to B and then it may not be known which route dead running buses take. I think for the avoidance of doubt it should be done as the crow flies but its not my list so its for LK65EBO to decide.

It's a pity that many dead mileages couldn't be incorporated into garage journeys like how it was done back in the London Transport and London Buses days.
