Most of the provincial loaned E200's for Stagecoach now appears to be returned to East for Bedford.

Wonder if those remaining 58 reg E200's still at TB will move on in the new year along with 36306-36308 to replace the provincial E200's? Looks like 36582 and 36583 are staying at TB for the time being

Has it been confirmed what might happen to the V workings at Go-Ahead?, given the SENs won't be working what they did pre Xmas. Will some of the V workings move to other operators?

No confirmation from what I’ve seen but if I was to speculate, I’d imagine that Go-Ahead might hire the outgoing ENL’s from Arriva to either cover for the extras or even to use on the 469 & B12 and leave the SEN’s on the extras which would minimise blind costs.

I wonder if school extra workings will now be pushed back by a week or two, following the government announcement today?

I wonder if school extra workings will now be pushed back by a week or two, following the government announcement today? Some will operate as primary-years are going back and vulnerable children and children of key workers will still be able to attend school. I imagine some of the 6xx routes that have multiple journeys might be reduced to one each way.

Ive never seen anyone above the age of 11 use that route unless they are with a child.

That's interesting that with the 603 being a special case of a unique route, linking places in the area like Highgate and Hampstead for example and a school route that runs during the holidays. How comes you think patronage is so low despite the link I know it's timetable is like a school one running before and after school times etc and what only once or twice during the day at that. But any other reasons?

However it does still have the contraflow journeys which allow parents and carers to travel back and forth after dropping off and before picking up, and I think these remain unique to this route.

Non-schoolday workings on the 603 were added back on to the timetable fairly quickly as it runs during half-terms and Easter holidays.

I wonder why they did that - and yet not the Christmas and Summer school holidays? Mind you I have always reckoned that there is a case for making the 603 a daily all-day route - it wouldn't need to be particularly frequent, every 20 minutes (30 evenings and Sundays) would probably suffice to start with.

Looks like 1 school bus on each school route next week will operate for the benefit of pupils who may need to attend schools.
In cases where there are multiple buses, this will be the last scheduled bus in the timetable.

Reading Buses are running their dedicated school routes 81-93 as normal next week, apart from planned changes to the afternoon Bohunt school journeys. However most of the journeys that operate as closed 900-series routes during term time will operate, but as normal service buses. Arrangements from 11th January will be confirmed next week. www.reading-buses.co.uk/school-bus-changes

I think a 20 minute single decker service would be adequate out of school times
