Certainly hit me like a rock flying at my face this morning hearing this.
2020 has highlighted the importance of the Black Lives Matter movement throughout the world, in countries far and wide. Chadwick Boseman played a key part for many years in bringing light to the black community and giving them a sense of empowerment. I am sure many of those reading this will remember the Black Panther movie coming out and taking headlines globally for the sense of empowerment it provided to many communities who were often discriminated against, making them feel proud of their culture and being told to embrace it. Something that would have never happened I feel if it wasn't for the movie coming out when it did.
After all he did, we also need to remember he himself was an amazing actor. Being credited for making up the Wakandan accent by himself as well as acting in many hits. While actually fighting Cancer himself the Marvel movies alone he acted in were Captain America Civil War, Black Panther, Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame where in every single movie the character played a centre role to the plot line and performed all sorts of various stunts. It has left many of the Marvel fans thirsting for more, leading to a great build up to the Black Panther 2 movie.
This does show that life is precious and you will lose it when your time comes. Chadwick Boseman certainly made his life count and will surely be remembered.
Rest in Power

A video circulated of him earlier this year where he has visibly lost a lot of weight and looked a shadow of his former self. People took the pee and laughed. And now look: it goes to show we don’t know what a human is going through on the inside and we should have more respect before casting judgement.
RIP.

Same for me, I was very surprised to hear that he had passed away. One thing that was so good about him was his dedication to filming, he was diagnosed cancer in 2016, but continued to film movies - great ones that involved lots of fighting, and he put lots of effort in his part. I felt my heart drop after reading his family's (?) statement on his Twitter. It's so nice to read all the nice statements under that tweet.
I understand he has a few films waiting to come out, some have been fully made, like Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, and some are/were in the works, like the second Black Panther film. I do hope that whatever has been created so far will be released, it would be a shame to see his last films unreleased.
He also looked really good for his age, he was 43, but looked about ten years younger. Either age is not an age to go still, especially to cancer.
I also am aware of the trolls, specifically the larger ones on YouTube, such as N&A Productions and ImJaystation, are most likely making one of those "3AM challenges" on him, as they did to people who have previously passed, like Etika, Kobe, Mac Miller. I just hope that none of them will do one on Chadwick Boseman, they should at least show some respect towards him.
He was a great person overall and a great actor, and he will thankfully be remembered for it.
RIP Chadwick Boseman 29.11.1976 - 28.8.2020

Sad to hear - he was a great actor in the Marvel films especially in Black Panther and I’m looking forward to Black Panther 2 - shame it’s his last.

Sad to hear - he was a great actor in the Marvel films especially in Black Panther and I’m looking forward to Black Panther 2 - shame it’s his last. Black Panther 2 hasn’t started production yet, it’s still in development, but given its Disney I expect them to use some technology either unused footage or digital faces to give him a role. I’m so saddened by his death, honestly, I’ve not been so saddened by a celebrity death since the death of Christopher Reeve and he was my hero. I hope Marvel do the the right thing and don’t recast but rather give us a new Black Panther with a different name and backstory.

It was certainly one of those jaw dropping, ‘I cannot believe it,’ moments when I read the news this morning. I was only familiar with his work as King T’Challa in the Marvel films but he was an incredible actor and by all accounts, a fantastic human being as well. It’s a sad, sad loss

I'm one of the very few people who had never heard of Chadwick Boseman until today - probably because I have never watched Marvel films - but this is still very sad news regardless. Watching the F1 Qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix this afternoon, Lewis Hamilton dedicated his pole position to Chadwick and gave an emotional interview about it after the session which showed how much of a mark Chadwick Boseman has left on the world, and that is very clear to see from what I've read today about him
RIP Chadwick Boseman

Chadwick passing away has been a big shock to many people. The last film I watched with Chadwick in it was called Da 5 Bloods and I thought he looked slim for the role not knowing that he was battling this disease. Clarke Peters was baffled as to why he was having people around him as he didn't know at the time that Chadwick was battling this disease and he publicly went to apologise about this matter.
We are all grateful for the immense energy Chadwick has given to us over the years
Wakanda forever.
