Looking at the picture, I’m amazed the driver even attempted to get the bus through that low bridge, let alone at a speed high enough to take the roof off. Hopefully everyone involved are all ok.

I think that the bridge height sign was obscured didn't help. I also read that the driver may have been new to the route, and in any event took an incorrect route. Nevertheless the driver arguably should have realised he could not get the bus under bridge.
