I wish the Victoria Line had another branch after between Euston and Finsbury Park stopping just at Camden Town in between them so that at least people won’t have to take a packed 29 or 253 at rush hours and so they can avoid the traffic there at those times especially because even for car drivers, speed limits are reduced at Camden Road and they removed the bus lane so it would be helpful. what do you guys think? The Victoria Line isn’t ideal for extra branches or extensions due to it’s very high frequency and Camden Town is unsuitable at present due to how busy the station is and being unable to cope with anymore services Having said that prior to the NLE to Battersea Power Station there were reported options of branching the Victoria Line there from Victoria, I imagine by extending the siding south of that station which I believe are twin tunnels (or one extra wide) that can hold two trains side-by-side. The District Line was also an option to Battersea from Sloane Square though regardless of all factors I'm glad it was the Northern Line as Kennington was somewhat future-proofed for a southbound branch off.

Have you ever wondered about those black-framed white squares containing a black-and-white circular diagram, that you sometimes see in Underground stations? They are "Labyrinths", and were created by the artist Mark Wallinger. They were launched on 9th January 2013, part of the commemorations of the opening of London's first underground railway, between Paddington and Farringdon, exactly 150 years previously. Every one of the Underground's 270 stations has a Labyrinth and each one is unique. They are also individually numbered, in the order each station was visited by a former record-holding team competing in "The Tube Challenge", whereby the aim is to visit all 270 stations in the shortest possible time. The Labyrinths are all in public view, but in different areas of each station - maybe on the exterior, or in the ticket hall, or on an unassuming wall somewhere in the station. www.thetravel.com/why-are-there-labyrinths-in-the-london-underground/Two more Labyrinths have been added, to the two stations that did not exist when the original series was launched - Nine Elms station and Battersea Power Station station. The two labyrinths, on display in the ticket hall at each station, retain the integrity of the original project which was to have a labyrinth at every Underground station*. Oddly, you would expect them to follow on in sequence as nos. 271 and 272, but they are actually numbered 110a and 110b as a nod to the fact that they are on a branch from Kennington, which has labyrinth no. 110 (hey, his labyrinths - his rules). * this has still not quite been achieved, as the one at Bow Road has been stolen!

Arnos Grove and Stratford (central line) are two stations where the trains go into tunnel both sides of the station (IE both stations either side are underground as is the case with Arnos Grove, or the train goes into tunnel in both directions, with there being a tunnel between Stratford and Leyton
Custom House on the Elizabeth line would also count. Can you think of any more examples?
In terms of tunnels you have Wanstead, Redbridge, Gants Hill (central line), Southgate and Heathrow Terminals, Hatton Cross and Hounslow West, Elizabeth line you have Woolwich which are all stations which are underground but not in a continuous tunnel through central London
Other Tunnels: Central line between Stratford and Leyton; mini one between Chigwell and Grange Hill Bakerloo/Overground between Willesden Junction and Kendal Green Northern between Colindale and Hendon Central Piccadilly and District between Ravenscourt Park and Hammersmith Overground between Finchley Road and Frognal and Hampstead Heath

Can you think of any more examples? Other Tunnels: Whitechapel District/H&C has tunnels both ends. District also has tunnels between West Brompton and Fulham Broadway; East Putney to Southfields

Anyone tried this? I’ve got to 99.1%, with five stations that I cannot for the life of me work out - three stations on the GOBLIN, all in north east London, one on the Chingford line and one in north east London on the North London line. My north east London knowledge is so poor 😂 london.metro-memory.com/

Those two DLR stations between All Saints & Pudding Mill Lane (Langdon Park & Devon’s Road) are usually my weakness but I guessed both this time. I also tried to avoid looking at the screen whilst doing it as having the visual map makes it too easy for myself. For anyone doing it line to line, do District or Central before Circle as there is an error with one station on those lines where it incorrectly also has the Circle line as serving it when in reality, it doesn’t

My north east London knowledge is so poor 😂 london.metro-memory.com/I had a go the other evening, and got everything except for one Elizabeth line station on the Shenfield branch (which I probably should've known) and five stations on the Overground's Enfield / Cheshunt / Chingford lines - four of which were beyond Edmonton / Walthamstow. So I'm kind of the same when it comes to northeast London, probably because I've rarely had a reason to use those particular lines.
