Is the district line between Aldgate East and Tower Hill the only line where you can see another station but not stop / pass through it (Aldgate)? For a very brief moment, it's possible to see the entrance of Brixton Underground Station from an Overground train from the high level bridge in Brixton. Similarly with Clapham North Station from near the Overground's Clapham High Street.

Is the district line between Aldgate East and Tower Hill the only line where you can see another station but not stop / pass through it (Aldgate)? Can the non-stop sections on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines count as seeing the stations but not stopping? Can Chiswick Park be seen from the Richmond branch? From the Metropolitan Line you can see Kenton and I think also South Kenton as it crosses over the Bakerloo Line/WCML. You can also see Northwick Park station travelling on the Bakerloo Line. The Jubilee Line between Canning Town and Stratford doesn’t stop at some of the DLR stations it parallels In case of metropolitan / Piccadilly / jubilee the train does sort of pass through so I wouldn’t include them. The other ones do make sense though

The archer sculpture seen at East Finchley points directly towards Morden. This is the point at which southbound trains go undergorund, with this coincidentally being the longest continuous underground section of the tube.
The Northern Line has the greatest number of underground stations, largely helped by it being the sole line to have two branch lines through Zone 1, but is beaten by the Vic and W&C in terms of proportion of total stations that are underground.
My personal favourite is the Circle line not actually being a circle - this has been the case for almost 11 years now. There was also an arrow at Morden but it was stolen.

From a cutting in between tunnels the Chiltern Mainline passes over South Hampstead Station on the Watford DC Line. From the driver's seat, I can definitely see Harringey Green Lanes after departing Harringay heading towards Finsbury Park.

Pedantically, It’s Harringay Park Junction, not Ferme Park Junction. Yes you can see the Junction but dependent on what line you traverse on you can clearly see Harringay Green Lanes, I know I can from the Headshunt, Up Slow 1 & 2.

I've heard it been called both. Are you trained to use that junction? because I have seen a 172 at Hornsey depot few years ago.

In the 1960s the Harringay Curve was signalled for both directions and the two corresponding boxes were Harringay Park Junction and Ferme Park Down South, the latter on the Down Goods line. There was also a box at Harringay West Station (now simply Harringay) but this had no control over the Curve or the Down Goods Line.

Inspired by the popular “Trivial But Unique” thread, I’ve decided to start one here.. I’ll start: The distance between Manor House and Turnpike Lane is one of the longest distance between two Underground stations. But there could’ve been one in between called St Ann’s. I assume it wasn’t built because of the financial implications of the Piccadilly line extension back in the 70s. I wonder if it will become a station soon. Who knows? It isn't that long, maybe as the Piccadilly line trains are slow at times, but Seven Sisters to Finsbury Park must be the longest I have experienced takes over 2 minutes. With the new 09 stock it is quicker, but the older 67 stock seemed like it took a lifetime. Only Piccadilly line extension in the 70's was the Heathrow bit. I doubt there would be much scope for St. Anns as Turnpike is not too far and then now Green Lanes on the Gospel Oak to Barking would make it unviable.
