In a black cab you couldn’t do this, how on earth do you prove it? Not to mention the cost is obscene. I fully avoid black cabs and minicabs with meters for the sole reason that the drivers can charge you their own route and rack up fares. Uber is brilliant and is great for reminding black cabs they don’t own the trade.
