I wasn't sure where to put this but here it goes. (not sure if this is allowed either, if it isn't please let me know and I'll delete it ASAP) I've recently started getting into Bus Photography and was looking for a platform to post pictures. I am aware that most people use Flickr, but I am taking the unusual step of making a public Instagram page. I thought the forum would be a great place to ask for support. I'm not so good at it at the moment, so please don't be harsh with your judgement ๐ A follow would be greatly appreciated, all users will receive a follow back as a token of gratitude. Also if anyone has any tips on how to take the best pictures, drop them below as I'd love to hear your thoughts on how to take good photos! ๐๐๐ https://www.instagram.com/p/CGDgybWHRD1

Only thing I'd recommend is staying a bit further away from the bus, but other than that, it looks pretty good .

At some point, you may wish to go for more challenging shots such as looking for sun spots and attempting offside pics

Are you going to stick with a phone or get a camera? DLSRs such as Nikons or Canons are popular. For some reason I've had several people come forward to me for advice as time went by - and I'm more than happy to give it! How far do you wish to go as far as level goes? Some people don't want to drop their phone, whilst some of us get polarisers and multiple lenses for our cameras, and aim for sun shots if possible... But gotta admit, those look nice when executed well

Don't get me wrong I would absolutely love to use a camera at some point, but atm best to perfect and practice different views and angles. Any suggestions? I'd say I'm starting at an 'amateur' level and trying to get semi to professional. Quite ambitious but it's doable I believe. Any tips would be appreciated!

A lot of the time with bus photography - especially if you are surprised by a sighting you weren't expecting to see - you just have to take the shot and hope for the best. I have a motto: if in doubt, take the photo anyway. Quite often it can be tidied up and made to look better with photo editing.
