I have to agree, definite football legend. I am sure there is still sour grapes over the 86 world cup hand of God, regardless doesn't mean England would have gone on to win that world cup.
George Best was also described as a legend, even after his alcohol problems. End of the day on pitch he was also a genius.
I already said he was one of the best ability wise but that doesn't make you a legend unless your from that country or team where I can understand why Argentina or Napoli might think different - how you conduct yourself does play a part and he blatantly cheated. I have no sour grapes as I don't support England - I regularly love having a good chuckle when England get knocked out of tournaments and losing to teams they shouldn't. For me, Maradona is merely a great as a result - legend should only be reserved for those who at least have some sort of decent conduct such as Messi, Ronaldo, Eusebio, Pele, Puskas, etc.
Best was an alcoholic but that really pails when compared to Maradona beating his wife, cheating in a game, violently brawling in games in Argentina, snorting cocaine and aliasing with the mafia.
