Myself and best friend has taken ownership of M48, it’s in a sorry state of affairs and the future was very uncertain, the engine managed to start after been standing for over 15 years and now can move on its own accord, furthermore will be towed to a secret location within the next two weeks for preservation.... m.facebook.com/groups/239253056710857/permalink/783291795640311/Please search MCW Metrobus Group on Facebook for pictures or pm me and I can email you some across. Flickr is very hard for me to use due to me living abroad...

It's actually M1336 (C336BUV - was BIG8750 with Bear Buses).
I remember it well, as it's one of the last Metros that I rode outside of enthusiast events when it appeared on a SWT replacement service a few years ago.

Hi everyone please to say M48 has now been towed to her new home, it drove away under her own power to the tow truck and even cosmetically doesn’t look to good the engine is fine even though the bus was sitting for 15 years!!!! Our first goal is to give it a good clean inside and out, then restore the interior first... I want to export one to Australia where I a, well maybe one of each I want to start a London Transport Oveseas collection LTOC .. if any are known of I would be obliged to be informed. I found two Metros but they are not in the greatest of conditions. M1336: www.usedcoachsales.co.uk/Vehicles/View/5476 . This would need a partial roof rebuild as it hit a bridge and its centre door would need to be reinstated, otherwise it seems ok and according to the ad it runs! It was last photographed in 2016 with bear buses. It is listed at £5000 OJD817Y: www.usedcoachsales.co.uk/Vehicles/View/5354 . This would need a lot of work done, although it does retain some seating but seems to have been painted inside. Listed at £3000 if taken as it is or £5000 with a clean, new batteries and MOT Both were with London United at some point. I've driven M817 at London General. She was one of the batch moved from AF to BB following the conversion of the 74 to NVs class Volvo Olympians which in turn allowed the 295 to convert from DRL class Dennis Darts back to Ms. Nice to know she's still about nearly twenty five years as she was one of the decent ones....although just about all the ones we got from AF were anyway. Drove her alot also on the 49.
