9/11:20 years on

Today marks the 20 year of the tragic event's of September 11th 2001. Condolences to all the people injured and killed on that dreadful day that changed the world forever.

Hard to believe that it really was 20 years ago, one of those days when we'll all remember where we were and what we were doing at the time.

The iconic image of George Bush on a school visit listening to a child read when his chief of staff whispered into his ear and how he managed to remain calm and not alarm the children. And there was a very real fear that the school could come under attack if the terrorists knew that he was there.

And the heroes on flight 93 who prevented another atrocity and the harrowing phone calls from people trapped in the towers to loved ones.

My thoughts go out to everyone affected by the events of that terrible day.
