I disagree with 90% of what this guy is saying, but one thing I do agree with is “the car should be the journey of last resort” with that mentality it is also ruining the bus industry. There is nothing convincing to use the bus than just nannying. The guy has come out with a pathetic idea to replace the bus a seven seater, which practically is UBER format. They are called taxis. A better scheme would be for people relying on buses in small towns who want to go the city to pull together once or twice a week, book an 18 seat minibus cab and go. Splitting the fair between 18 would probably work out the same as the bus fare.

Just to be clear, this isn’t the great Mike Rutherford from Genesis & Mike + the Mechanics, it’s an anti-bus person making a terrible article because a body made a comment he didn’t like
