Just out of interest, why do the 53 and 363 ride the Bricklayers Arms flyover and none of the other routes doing the same routing between Elephant and New Cross

I did say loosely in all fairness I know that I was just adding my thoughts đ The 177 is a direct parallel to the Woolwich line from Deptford to Abbey Wood stop for stop pretty much. Probably why despite us all be sceptical, the 177 has coped alone without the 180.

People have switched to the train because the link has been broken, now that Southeastern are reducing the trains running via Greenwich and Lewisham I imagine the 177 will be the one taking up the extra loadings going forward from December to cover that corridor

Itâs also a good way to siphon off longer distance travellers from passengers only going as far as Deptford, New Cross and Honor Oak, though this doesnât always work, particularly with the 53/453 situation where Iâve often seen people crowd onto a 53 due to the fact that itâs âsemi expressâ and let the 453 go meaning sometimes the 453 beats the 53 to OKR Tescos đ¤Ł

Well in the new timetable on the Greenwich branch, morning peak times trains will be down from 13 to 8, and with uneven gaps between 7 and 23 mins off peak, nearly a half hour wait between trains on a busy metro route, not to mention Thameslink isnât the most reliable of services, not to mention the line had 6tph⌠any I took this off topic so letâs end this now since you know my thoughtâs already on the new timetable

Would have worked well

The one missed opportunity was to have sent the 25 over the bow flyover. Would have worked well Yes I recall this being a proposal a few years back and wasnât there a petition going around wanting this to happen? I don't know about petition but I do remember the result of the consultation being negative, if I'm not mistaken in the 70% range, so 25 over the flyover didn't go ahead. Perhaps it would've had a less harsh response if 425 already went to Ilford at the time.

Personally have the 25 over the fly over and only the 425 diverting via Stratford Bus Station southbound to speed up longer distance passengers.

X12: running between Shepherd's Bush and Dulwich,
Via: route 148 to Camberewell Green and route 12 to Dulwich.
Purpose: Inspired by TfL's proposal to extend the 148 to Dulwich. It will also help out the 148.
