Station staff drivers are not involved. Same with national rail. Trains will not run in zone 1 due to lack of staff. Station staff signalling staff depot staff, shunters (depot access etc)

It appears that this strike has had more impact on the Underground than the previous one. With only the Central & District line running a part service.
I was expecting the national rail strike be very bad, but it appears to be running better than I expected. Services between Southend and Liverpool St are running. TfL Rail (Elizabeth Line) running 30 mins between Liverpool St and Shenfield. North London line operating a reduced service. Gospel Oak to Barking operating a 30 minute service instead of 15.

Rail strike: Grant Shapps dismisses calls for government involvement as a 'stunt'Calls for the government to get involved in rail strike negotiations have been dismissed as a stunt by Transport Secretary Grant Shapps.www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-61874811Other snippettsRMT General Secretary Mick Lynch has apologised for the inconvenience caused to people by this week's strikes. The rail union boss joined the picket outside London's Euston Station today after talks to avoid industrial action failed last night. Speaking to BBC'S Radio 4 Today programme, Lynch said members don't want to cause disruption, rather the union wants to be able to "negotiate freely" with the train operators and Network Rail. Earlier, Network Rail CEO Andrew Haines said he would be happy to give members a pay rise above 3%, but only if he got an agreement from the RMT on automation. Reacting to this, Lynch said the union was in a position to "accommodate and negotiate change" but first there needs to be a guarantee that workers will not face compulsory redundancies. He acknowledged there would likely be fewer workers once technology plays a greater role across the rail industry. "What we need to do is say that everybody who wants to continue in the new network framework will have a place in it," he said. He added that much "negotiation, haggling and modification" on reaching a compromise lay ahead.
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has said he does not meet with unions, as he described calls for him to join them round the negotiating table as a "stunt". He told BBC Breakfast: "I don't typically meet with them because it's a red herring. If I thought there was a one in a million chance it would make a slightest bit of difference of course I would do so at the drop of the hat. "The reality is they're using it as a camouflage for the fact they've walked out of the talks that they should be in with their employers. "I don't meet with them because that's the job of the employers and the employers do meet with them and this is a stunt by the trade unions. "What they need to do is come back into the negotiation today with Network Rail, with the train operating companies, and carry on negotiations and get this thing fixed. That's what needs to happen and the rest of it, I'm afraid, is a distraction, which you're falling for."

Sky News reported it as happening at Lordship Lane bus station in SE London. Maybe a little more research perhaps?

Sky News reported it as happening at Lordship Lane bus station in SE London. Maybe a little more research perhaps? Yes lousy reporting There is indeed a lordship lane in south London (not SE london!) in dulwich. The bus (and associated video) is of the 123 which doesn’t get anywhere close As always, lofty journalism standards, written by someone who has never been on a bus or has never stepped out of office

People at those station stops NEVER learn. It is the same thing when there is train strikes or the Vic line is not running. Logic would be to talk further down the road to at least near Walthamstow Bell where they can get on. It was the same for the 230, it would get swap loaded at Walthamstow Central then would operate a near non stop service all the way to Seven Sisters. The same thing happened on the way back, the smart ones would walk a few stops back down Phillip Lane to ensure they got on board.
