To be fair most people use online services we don't even use a aerial in my home everything over the firestick , but for some older folk the loss of BBC 4 will be a pain however all they show is re-runs now I believe ( Why it costs a lot to have a channel that just shows re-runs I don't know ) but got to move with the times I suppose .
10 years from now all TV will probably online / subscription including the BBC .

I'm not surprised myself but the closure of cbbc is a bit of a shocker I remember watching it back in the day I'll be sad to see it go. Bbc four isn't quite as surprising they've been after that Channel for years now.

So they moved BBC Three online only to return it back to standard TV this year and now moving with these channels online! They wasted a fortune bring BBC Three back which has been a flop!

As I understand it, the original decision to move BBC Three online was criticised and ended up being a flop hence why BBC Three returned to TV. It will be intriguing if the same happens to BBC Four & CBBC

Okay here's my take.
BBC 4 is not really surprising as its pretty old. However CBBC is surprising as it still appeals to a lot of people today, and it's shows are more modern and recent(in a way).

It just gets worse now the local news is going π That tweet is misleading I think itβs only a certain region (BBC Oxford) that will be merged. Look East are moving their staff from Cambridge to Norwich for Look East, and South Today's office in Oxford is closing... TBH Oxford isn't far from Banbury in the Midlands, so not exactly South Some Regional News can be quite... er interesting as there's not much information, except County fairs, disputes over fences and gardens, joy riders on quad bikes etc... so consolidation of news is probably more sensible. I think no one wants to pay a Licence every year (approaching Β£160) for repeats or cringeworthy comedy on BBC Three (such as Miranda) Sometimes in the mornings London is lumped in with BBC South East (like the old Newsroom Southeast of the 80s and 90s), so there can't be much to report on
