I wonder if the 507 go double decker or keep its current buses on the revised route?

I wonder if the 214 is being converted for that proposal 😂

Interestingly none of the proposals have frequencies or conversion to double decker mentioned. I would expect the 214 and 507 to both convert to double decker but it isn’t mentioned for either.

A bit of a mess this one. Analysis later. I might make a proper map showing all the proposed changes at some point for reference (I'm sure the diamond geezer will mention the lack of proper maps on his inevitable upcoming blog post!) I expect dg is already working on his own map! If anyone can turn this over complicated piece of official crayonistaism it is him.

A bit of a mess this one. Analysis later. First comment - why the hell keep the 507 number  - just renumber it 11. It's pretty much most of the original west end of the old 11 route. Essentially more '11' than '507'. Just withdraw the huge number (now the red arrow numbers mean nowt as 521 is gone and the proposed 507 is pretty much a normal trunk route now). To a lesser extent I would prefer to keep 14 and 74 vis a vis 414 and 430 but the latter routes are pretty much a lot more similar to what they are currently. Likewise for 78 and 388. I might make a proper map showing all the proposed changes at some point for reference (I'm sure the diamond geezer will mention the lack of proper maps on his inevitable upcoming blog post!) Some proposals... I kind of agree with, for instance sending the 211 off to Battersea PS, along with slightly longer routes with a little less traffic to save a bit of money, but some of these proposals seem to be change for the sake of change. Glad someone agrees that the 14 should not be withdrawn because I can't even dream about that happening!

How can people respond to all this in 6 weeks? You need about 12 weeks for people to respond to all this because this is very confusing for me to comprehend. I would imagine it is because they are not expecting many respondents to have a comment on all the routes under consultation, but just the ones relevant to the individuals journey.

I wonder if the 507 go double decker or keep its current buses on the revised route? It would be the logical thing to do, seeing as the 211 is getting diverted from Victoria and Waterloo to Battersea PS. Then the electrics could be sent off to the 108. Also, it should be re-numbered 11, once again. As for the 214, I know that Highgate Vill residents have their reservations with DD-ing the 214. With the 271 gone as well I don't think they will take too kindly with their direct route to the City. I know an enthusiast took an MHV on the full 214 route at night but there has to be problems with trees along the Highgate West Hill. Tbh the proposal sections involving the 214 aren't too bad in my opinion!

A petition needs to be set up to save every one of these routes from being killed because this is just plain unacceptable to hear and is even worse than pedestrianising Oxford Street and reducing buses from there. A petition will do nothing. TfL don’t listen and these cuts are a done deal. They made a mess of the east London changes going ahead with changes proposed 3 years ago despite things that might have changed in that time. We now have people having to walk some distance for connecting buses whilst revised routes are carrying fresh air. Did they go ahead with a previous consultation to withdraw the 11 and 19 from King's Road as well as rerouting the 22 back to Piccadilly Circus and introducing new route 311 in it's place? No, so I do not see why the probability of these bus changes happening should be 100%.

I imagine the situation is a bit different to then especially with COVID.
All I can say is I’m absolutely shocked by these, the 254 cutback, the 279 diversion, 113/189 diversions!

My head is fried now trying to read all that.
The 31 change was not expected at all. Same with the 11 and 507

It has to go to consultation and be agreed by unions so still a (slim) chance it won't happen What are the unions going to do, there is not exactly a glut of staff so unlikely to be any compulsory redundancies I suppose they could go on strike, but that might just prove people can manage without the route To be honest, I cannot see them doing much. They have not over the past 4 years of various cuts, so doubt it now. All they would do is blame Boris. If it was the next way around and the mayor of London was Conservative they would be kicking up a fuss.
