Stagecoach has announced that it is to sell its Megabus retailing platform and customer service operations in England and Wales, as well as those for the South West Falcon operating between Plymouth and Bristol, to Scottish Citylink. Stagecoach will remain involved as it has a stake in Scottish Citylink, jointly with Comfort DelGro; the Stagecoach share will rise from 35% to 37.5% of the business following the sale. The operation of the coach services themselves will not change.
