Bus was a 1931 Maudslay Mentor with Dodson body, operated by Alfred Sneiman, trading as Gordon, later Gordon Omnibus Company, which was trading from 1924, and after 1926 based at 219 Lea Bridge Road, Leyton (site is now a petrol station.) Six buses passed to London Transport in 1933, and a coach operation continued until the 1939 war.
Dodson (of Willesden) were quite a popular body builder for the London independent / 'pirate' operators of the 1920s and early 30s. Route 511 / 511B ran Stratford - Leyton - Chingford Mount or Royal Forest Hotel (High Beech on summer Sundays), and was shared by a number of independent operators.

EV 3403 was retained by London Transport as MY 1 (the only Maudsley double decker in the LT fleet) and moved to the country area. More on Ian's Bus Stop
And for completeness, Boardmans was a department store on Stratford Broadway, picture in Newham Archives here.
