Anyone here a Rugby fan?
Have to say it's going to be interesting seeing England play, now that Eddie Jones has gone
Bit disappointing for England yesterday but let's hope they win next week
Predictions (feel free to share yours)
I'm not too much of a Rugby fan so I'll just post who I think will win and where England will finish
Ireland 1st
England 3rd

I think Ireland will win the six nations as well think it's too early for England to win under Steve borthwick. That try by van Der merwe was amazing. The used to be a member of staff on here called rugbyref not sure if they are still around though. |

Yeah, I'm a rugby fan - first and foremost an England fan but I like to think I can appreciate any good rugny. Well done Scotland, you deserved your win. Some of the Scotland attacking play yesterday was top-drawer, All Blacks standard and Scotland had the courage to throw the ball around but Townsend also had the foresight to pick an attacking team for what was forecast to be a dry day. The vdM try was a wonder try and I know he's 6'5", incredibly fast and probably nearly 100kgs but I wonder if any of the five England players who missed him think they could have done better? This is the fourth year in a row that England have lost their opening Six Nations match and it's disappointing for a nation with such rugby resources (financial and number of players). But good luck Steve Borthwick, there were some 'green shoots' in attack but defence and set-piece was poor. Ireland were outstanding (in the first half) against a poor Wales side. Forget about Sexton (their talisman and playmaker) for a second and their back row is sensational: Doris (pace and power), O'Mahoney (hard as nails and a player I bet other players hate playing against) and van der Flier (World Player of the Year). Then they bring on Conan and Henderson as replacements in the pack, both British Lions! I really think Ireland are in with a very good shout for the RWC (along with SA, France and of course never discount NZ). SIX NATIONS 1) Ireland 2) France 3) Scotland 4) Wales 5) England 6) Italy |
