Scania are back in the UK with their own integral bus (obviously yes Scania chassis were available on ADL bodies)
Ambassador travel in Norfolk have just taken delivery of I believe the first non-demonstrator vehicle of the type. I think it looks fantastic!
Unless they offer these in electric form we sadly won’t be seeing these in TfL services, which I think is a massive shame.
Called the Scania Fencer, I believe a double deck and articulated version is planned.
The one with Ambassador has reg YT23BDF

One of the demonstrators was bought by PC Coaches of Lincoln for local bus work. Scania were keen supporters of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) as their alternative fuel technology and have had some success with that; Reading Buses and Nottingham City Transport both have large fleets of CNG-powered buses. However the fuel did not find favour with TfL and would not be permitted now as it is not totally zero-emission. Since the OmniCity, Scania does not seem to have been bothered with the London market.
