A recent survey shows that Thursday is now the busiest day on the Underground, following changes to the working week due to Working From Home. Around 3.3m journeys are made each Thursday. Wednesdays and Thursdays are the most usual days for staff to commute to offices, and Thursday evenings have replaced Fridays as the favoured time for many workers to have after-work drinks with colleagues. www.cityam.com/london-loves-thursdays-as-3-3m-workers-now-taking-the-tube-pub/

Where I worked in 2002 Thursday was already the new Friday. People had a night out on he basis that they would only be tired at work for 1 day before having the weekend off!
