I will never forget the summer of 2003. That heatwave that year was lethal. It wasn't only just here. France had it as well around that time.

Likewise, that was one summer that started to set the precedence for years to come. Over the years after 2001 we started to get drivers cab to have aircon as standard, white painted roof, then a few years later opening front upperdeck side windows, tinted windows, upperdeck air cooling system. Only downside is the re-gassing of most of these buses is a joke with nothing really done after they have run out. Worst in some garages where the air con compressor pump drive belt was removed.

Wowsers. Now that makes sense why I see the white colour at the top of the bus.

Dam it’s humid today! Can’t remember such a long spell of consistent warm day like we had for well over a week.

As much as I hate the hot weather today feels underwhelmingly cold! No sunshine and even a few spots of rain. Just about warm enough for shorts and a t shirt

Its very poo today and tomorrow! Non stop rain across London and 50mph winds tomorrow. Have to say that the weather has been rather underwhelming this summer, and nothing like last year. Temperatures around mid July were in the high 30s if you guys remember the heatwave last year. Now averaging about 20-22c. Apart from a few weeks of hot weather in June (whereby the temperatures were around 27-30c most days) it's been fairly cool. Having said that it means that I don't have to suffer at home with the hot weather (I live on the 2nd floor so my room gets really hot in hot weather)

It's fair to say that the weather has been abysmal at best this month. It's raining the majority of the time. And quite chilly too.

It's fair to say that the weather has been abysmal at best this month. It's raining the majority of the time. And quite chilly too. Reminds me of 2007 which was similar, practically the whole summer. Long story short it's all in relation to the Jet Stream which is more wavy mapped than usual at the moment with the UK presently closer to the North of the stream hence it being cooler and wetter than usual, even for us. Last year the stream was similarly wavy except that we were caught more on its southern side, hence that heatwave.

No, I disagree - it's been rather unpredictable but I can't say abysmal is what I'd personally call it. It has rained on and off and I've not found it cold at all - besides, no point having temperatures over 21-22 in London when the city simply turns into an oven compared to outside London where it is rather more pleasant especially down by the coast.

I sort of agree with you, I don't like the heat but even then 21-22 I wouldn't really describe it as warm. That's pretty much the standard temperature for July although summers are generally hotter than this. As for the rain it's been wetter than other months, certainly in the past 6 days I believe it only was dry on Friday with Saturday being a touch rainy in the morning, but even then you can't really plan around the weather if you're doing outdoor activities

I'd say that for the first time for over a month it feels like summer. Although it is only 25c it feels like 30c.
