I'd say that for the first time for over a month it feels like summer. Although it is only 25c it feels like 30c. I was boiling alive on the 77 yesterday and it was absolutely horrible, it also stunk of BO too. The rain is a bit annoying but overall this cooler summer has been such a relief. I'm not a massive fan of electric buses but I will gladly go out of my way and get routes like the 319 since everything diesel or hybrid is a sauna on wheels as soon as it gets hot

I was on a LT and was shocked the air cooling system was actually pumping out cold air on a hot day!!! Most buses I have rode on hot days the air cooling seems as though no refrigerant left in the system.

Ok the heatwave was nice for a couple of days but enough now 🥵
Just gone one stop on a train and my head is sweating like you don’t want to know 😅
Some sleep would be nice too!

Controversial opinion but we have to learn to deal with it. I actually think that the heat this year was bearable. Worst day this year in my opinion was 10 June. Last year was hotter. Sleeping I agree with you can be difficult but my advice is to have a cold shower before bed. I think that the temperature people tolerate varies per person. The good news is that today was the hottest day. Back to normal temperatures on Tuesday but unfortunately with rain. I would rather it stayed like this for another week

Not sure how old you are but I'd imagine older people would not be able to tolerate higher temperatures than younger people. The good news is that today was the hottest day. Back to normal temperatures on Tuesday but unfortunately with rain. I would rather it stayed like this for another week Wow what a patronising reply! I think people have a very good idea of peoples ages front the topics they talk about. I’m not going to get my self into trouble here but I know the games you play on here and know this reply was a direct response because I came back to you about RAPT. Adding you to the blocked this.

Honestly it's got nothing to do with RATP! I didn't even mention it not thought about it when writing this. Don't make assumptions so quickly. Removed the bit about age in my previous post. Hopefully makes you less unhappy, wasn't meant to be a patronizing post. There are stuff we aren't gonna agree on. I was just voicing my opinion. I am sorry if I came across as offensive

I would rather it stayed like this for another week I've never been particularly happy with the level of heat simply because I don't fare well in it (don't worry, nothing serious but just never been a fan of excessive heat) so I'm happy it is cooling down some time next week. Sleeping isn't so bad for me but temperature toleration does vary between people that's for sure and it isn't even dependent on age

I've quite enjoyed this heatwave although I appreciate that it isn't to everyone's liking, today is apparently the last day of it😎

This recent heat peak is at least well timed in that it happened over the weekend, which benefits more of the general public.... ie no school, college, etc. As a former bus driver I would have been delighted had this happened during my long weekend as given the choice I always prefer excessive heat over excessive cold but best enjoyed outside that red box on wheels whenever possible.
Bearing in mind we're still in September perhaps now would be the time that bus firms should start working on the bus's heating systems to minimise general complaints during the colder months ahead, particularly if we get just as cold a winter days as we're having with hot ones.

Here we are in October and it’s T Shirt without a jacket weather! The summer wasn’t great but it’s been a decent autumn so far!

I wouldn't call that shorts and t-shirt weather but everyone has their own thresholds and for October it feels a little cold (though better than a milder and rainy day)

Autumn has finally arrived. It's been a warm start however the BBC has been predicting rain for about 11 consecutive days (long range forecasting is always inaccurate though). Just in time for half term though
