Am I right in thinking the 101 has not had any new buses since the SLWs in the mid 90s? I think it had a few newer darts for a time from the 104 and 238 but they were not brought for the 101. It got new 12 plate E400s didn't it? Indeed it did in the form of 19847-858 |

Always thought it was odd that the 607, despite its stature, received brand new Olympians in 1996 and then only hand me downs until it received its VMH’s in 2019. Not that I’m complaining, as the TNL’s & VNW’s/VW’s were awesome on it! 😂😂😂😂 They were some good buses |

I think 19854 stayed at BK. I did see 19849 on the 275 a few days back, but I can't remember where the rest are. I know some went to TB but looking at LVF 19853 is at WH whilst the rest are mostly at T |

The 4 has been a dustbin route, almost always getting buses from another route and not a fresh new batch to start from day one. 86 has not had new vehicles since early 2000's although has had odd working new buses from other routes. 97 has had existing buses for years, in fact I believe its last new buses would have been the Titan's in early 80's. It never had fresh new buses for contract under Capital Citybus/First Capital, nor since Stagecoach took over the route since 2005, where it had existing buses. Oh yes I do remember the 97 in 2000. In fact one time when first capital used to stick their garage address in orange/yellow on the side of their bus I saw the Chequers Lane address on the trident. I thought to myself that's a bit far for them buses to travel onto the 97 hahaha not knowing that the folks from Marsh Lane didn't update it as of yet. Funny you say that. When I was younger, I could never understand why all the London Transport buses had 55 Broadway address on the side. When they parked up at different garages. I assumed that 55 Broadway may have had a super garage and wanted to go and see it.  |

Not many extremes in my patch, the 419 hasn't had new buses since its darts with NCP in 2005. If RATP keep losing compliant single deck routes it may continue that trend at next tender.
The 533 has never had its own batch but that's slightly unfair!
H22 is a good one. With all the different Dart batches its had I can't remember if any of them were actually ordered for it.

The 59 Reg T66-83 came off the 38, not the 168. DW401-424 were ordered for the 78 and another route but instead diverted to the 38. That part I knew but what I was saying was in 2015 when the 168 went to Metroline. The VLWs ended up staying at AE along with the 168 Ts onto the 78 until the hybrids came and then thats when the Ts went for its refurbishment for the 368 (before they done it's own swap with the 150 buses but that's a discussion for another day) for a little bit longer whilst the original Ts from the 38 (which was sent to AE for the 78) left to go to DX. So we were both right. I think some of the VLW's went to [E] and [GR] after. T66-83 on paper was for the 38/242 contract. The 242 never fully been converted. Then when the 78 was to be converted to double decker, it never received its intended buses as above and got the ex 38/242 T buses. When the 78 got new HA's end of 2015, the buses were sent to [DX] over the next few months to convert the 173 to double decker. The 168 did get a part new part used tender (remember those) and had VLW's and some new T's the 1## series, which when the route was lost was used to covert the 168 to double decker in 2016. When the 150 was getting route branding, some of the wrong batch of buses was sent instead of its native batch that was bought for the route. |

280 hadn't since 2000. New PVLs then retained with them in 2005, 54 reg ones from the 36 in 2012 then existing WHVs in 2017. Who knows in 2024??

To be fair though like many routes mentioned here the 280 had new vehicles ordered for it, they just got taken by the Olympic shuttles and then placed on the 36. I think we should be focused on routes never even awarded with new vehicles as there are far fewer of those. |
