Temporary routes 718, 719, 720

Network Rail has released details of the summer Bakerloo line and Overground closures between Queens Park / Stonebridge Park and Watford Junction, along with Overground Closures on Euston - Watford route

Mentions temporary routes 718, 719, 720

Route 718 Queen's Park to Harrow & Wealdstone (Phase 1 and Phase 3)

Daily, from first to last train times during Phase 1: Sunday 23 July-Sunday 30 July and Phase 3: Friday 11 August - Thursday 17 August
Via Kensal Green, Willesden Junction, Harlesden Town Centre, Stonebridge Park, Wembley Central, North Wembley, Preston Road (walk for South Kenton), Kenton
Access to the Metropolitan line at Preston Road station and Northwick Park station (6-minute walk from Kenton station)

Route 718 Stonebridge Park to Harrow & Wealdstone (Phase 2)

Daily, from first to last train times during Phase 2 (Monday 31 July-Thursday 10 August)
Via Wembley Central, North Wembley, Preston Road (walk for South Kenton), Kenton
Access to the Metropolitan line at Preston Road station and Northwick Park station (6-minute walk from Kenton station)

Route 719 Queen's Park to Wembley Park (Phases 1 and 3)

The Last time the 718/719/720 was in operation, Sullivans and Metroline was the main ones. I also saw a Thorpe Park bus doing the 720 as well. That could obviously change

That's right as I actually went out and did them - the Sullivan Buses service was appalling due to traffic and broken down vehicles, was single decker due to a low bridge at Bushey. Metrolines service was ok but they did struggle in the afternoon due to roadworks.

That's right as I actually went out and did them - the Sullivan Buses service was appalling due to traffic and broken down vehicles, was single decker due to a low bridge at Bushey. Metrolines service was ok but they did struggle in the afternoon due to roadworks.

I waited like 20 minutes for the 718 when I did it. Only for it to rest for about 10 minutes for a driver change

I would question if that low bridge is really a restriction, as a Sullivan school route (non-TFL) regualarly uses DDs there.

Alternatively going down Pinner Road from Bushey Station would allow DDs to be used, serving Carpenders Park Station to the east of the railway line instead.

Do Sullivans have any low-height DDs? Almost all of their DDs are ex-London, and the few that aren't appear to be full-height from the photos that I can find.

They use East Lancs Myllenium Vyking and Lolyne deckers on the routes. These are fine to go under the bridge as the height restriction is 4.3m and the buses are 4.3m or less, but all of their other DDs are too tall. There are 6 of these vehicles in the fleet, but what prevents their use on the 720 is that they are Euro 3 vehicles.
