The apparent conditional increase in frequency in the evenings on the revised routeing being implemented might also be because of scheduling. With a reduced end to end journey time via the more direct routeing there might be just enough scope to increase the frequency in the evenings without requiring an extra vehicle.
The wording of the consultation is not very helpful in understanding the thought process behind the changes, which is disappointing given that an entire estate is losing its bus service and presumably it is well used by local residents.

Is that increase thou really needed in the evenings? Seems quite dramatic to remove the routing all day every day just to up the freq in the evenings from 3 to 4 bph.

I was going to post something similar. Not often I say this but would much rather maintain the existing frequency and keep serving the existing route.

Keep the current freq in the evenings and routing or increase the freq but change the route.

Keep the current freq in the evenings and routing or increase the freq but change the route. Exactly, that would be true public consultation. Unfortunately we know that most of the time their minds are already made up, the contracts have been awarded and the consultation is them telling us what they are going to do.

The evening frequency change is going ahead from 2 March. Suspect that means this bizarre proposal is going ahead and will be published soon.

The evening frequency change is going ahead from 2 March. Suspect that means this bizarre proposal is going ahead and will be published soon. It is all very strange! However it does suggest that the frequency increase in the evenings is not reliant on the withdrawal of the route from the Aberfeldy Estate, so that purported trade off was a complete nonsense to start with.
