Bet she endorses the most expensive of the 3 options. Lets see how keen she is when National Rail ask how much the Council will contribute.

I don’t think Stratford station is that bad at least the main entrance is pretty wide. The subway / corridors are tight but the worse one is the older one near WH Smith where you get bottlenecks. The Jubilee corridor that leads to Westfield is better but can be problematic when there are events or football on. I guess the upgrades around 2010 where more just for preparing for the Olympic Games and didn’t consider future growth. Funny enough I found a old video from the 90s of Stratford last night and it shows the old station entrance and some older buses as well. m.youtube.com/watch?v=TrSTMuePmdo

This just looks like another gentrification mk2. This just looks clustered and seems that the development would take away most of the bus station. It is very spacious now compared to the 80's and this looks to go backwards to the 80's

It seems more about the outside that the actual station!

www.ianvisits.co.uk/articles/stratford-station-upgrade-moves-forward-with-business-case-submission-plans-include-2000-homes-and-10000-jobs-64673/2000 Homes , knew there would be homes in there somewhere and some developer pushing for it no doubt behind the scenes , it's actually quite crazy the amount of new developments going up yet the number of people unable to get homes is going up which begs the question who is buying all these homes ? Westfield side they have built loads of new flats that are not even for sale for rent a nice "studio" flat will set you back around £1500 a month it's crazy really is , Tory/Labour same story , anyway rant over . As for the redevelopment personally I think it's quite a good station for how it has changed in last 25 years platforms could do with a renumbering and maybe that middle main walkway changed but don't see what much else needs changing .

Trouble is people just do not want to wake up and smell the coffee. Do you really think many of these new developments are for people with a genuine affordable income. 90% of these so called affordable homes are far from it and anyone earning less than £30k may as well forget it, unless you are prepared to eat grass and drink water and reside under a bridge. Many of these councils know this and they are pushing for these developments it is gentrification. End of the day, they would not end up with housing problems, failure to pay council tax, less benefit claimants etc. so overall more money for these councils. It started to happen in the early 2000's and I cannot see it slowing down.

Not strictly related to the rebuild but thought I would ask here.
Before the Jubilee Line corridor / Subway was extended for Westfield where did it stop? was it Platform 10 stairs? was it extended twice, once for the Overground and once for Westfield opening? I just can't recall it being a short subway despite using it daily in the early 00s.
