I can’t see a thread for this, so creating a new one. Happy to merge into an existing conversation if there is one elsewhere.
In the past Google maps has been my go to for directions on my phone, but lately some of their changes have been terrible. Keeping it specific to buses, when tapping on a bus stop I notice that some of the bus numbers are hidden. Quite often only the first number of each route is displayed on the map. I’ve now switched over to Apple Maps and found it much better for bus information. You zoom in to a bus stop and the routes numbers are automatically displayed. Tap a bus stop and select a bus then it will highlight the exact line of route. Google have ruined what was once such a nice user experience, but Apple have stepped their game up in the meantime.
What other interactive maps do others use for bus info in London?

I find Google maps the best for planning a route prior to actually using it, but Citymapper the better option for when I am physically on the go. It tells you on your route when the next bus is going to be and exactly how many stops to ride, then it vibrates your phone once you reach the stop before yours so you're aware to get off.

I haven't noticed anything wrong with Google Maps lately, I like it the most because I've had multiple situations where LVF is wrong or buggy whilst GM's system is 100% accurate. It is also convenient to have an interactive map so you can click on bus stops in your vincinity without knowing their names, great for spontaenous decisions when I'm doing enthusiast things, like in Keston recently being able to check between the 320 and 353 if I want to change since they have dire frequencies. LVF I would only use if I know exact stop names or if I am tracking a certain vehicle or type.
