These two companies are subsidiaries of parent company West Midlands Trains. They don't have their own dedicated thread yet - so I have created one!
London Northwestern is starting to operate new class 730 units on services to and from London Euston. Initially they are using the 3-car 730/0 variant, coupled together as six-car trains. These are eventually destined for services in the West Midlands once the 5-car 730/2 trains enter service. Interim use of the 730/0s will enable LNR to stand down its last five class 319 units by the end of this year.
The next route to utilise 730/0s will be Walsall-Wolverhampton, followed by the Cross-City Line across Birmingham. Class 323s displaced will transfer to Northern.
It has also been reported elsewhere that LNR has acquired three class 150 2-car diesel units for the Marston Vale Line (Bletchley-Bedford), which is constrained by short platforms at some intermediate stations. Following staff training, a partial train service will be restored to this route at peak times from Monday 20th November, concentrating on services which carry large numbers of students. A full train service is expected to resume in early 2024 once further staff training has been completed. Train services were suspended from 1st December 2022 after Vivarail, which supplied and maintained the class 230 trains that were converted from District Line carriages, went into administration. Rail replacement buses have been in operation.

Good about the 730s , basically Aventuras with gangways I hear , but not so good about 150s don't see why it takes so long to train staff up when they were the trains used before ? Seems to me to be an excuse to not run trains as probably easier to have staff working on other routes and cheaper to use replacement buses not good for passengers .

Does anyone know exactly when the CrossCity 323's will be displaced to Northern? I've seen a vague mention of Spring but nothing beyond that as I'm planning to go up to Birmingham late January/early February

There should still be plenty of Class 323’s around for your visit!
