I've just read a post in the LVF Facebook group stating the 350 is being converted back to double decker operation over the coming weeks. Not sure if it's been mentioned already (or if it's officially confirmed). I wonder why this is happening. I came across this same post, the 350 is just hilarious by this point. Started off as a single decker route, became a decker route before becoming a single decker route again and is now being converted back to decker. You'd think someone somewhere would make their minds up Yeah funny that is🤣 what a rollercoaster for route 350🤦🏿♂️

Going back to the H50 days, it would of gone from: ELC Spryte's > B7TL Gemini's > e200's > Trident ALX400's/e400MMC's > e200MMC's > ?? It does get busy in the mornings and around Heathrow shift changes but it's coped since the last single decking and frequency decrease. In the 3 years since it's e400MMC's were deployed to the U5, from memory, there was 1 odd DD working (which was quite early on after the conversion) up until the V350 journeys started - which I've never seen more than 3 passengers on board. I can only assume a conversion would be to do with fleet standardisation at WS, with the U7 presumingly keeping it's DD's for the foreseeable future, a fleet of DD's along with a small batch of mini e200's for the U9 would be easier for the engineering dept to maintain. Must be a pain in the backside having to get a suitable SD in from TF/GW every time a vehicle falls by the wayside.

The same post also reports that 8526 has transferred to TF, which means there are no more 59 reg E200’s left at BC

The person who posted that is very reliable in terms of Abellio news so it’s almost certain to happen unless a change further down the line happens. Ah, okay. Wasn't sure if it was just a random person stating nonsense. Gotta be careful in this community lol No worries and I agree with you on that

Looks like 2453-2458 are heading to Hayes for route 350, as some of these vehicles haven't been in service at Battersea for a few days (2455 and 2456 are already in service at Hayes). I presume these vehicles will enter again next week with the new school term starting on route 350.

I actually think that route 350 is only being converted to double deck just to maintain social distancing, as double decks started appearing during the pandemic. I don't see this double deck conversion being permanent, I just see it being temporarily as I stated already but who knows?

The double decks that appeared were school extras - from what I've seen, this conversion suggests it's permanent but like you say, who knows.

Not yet, but I think they will stay put at Battersea to get rid of more of the diesel E400s at the depot.

Anyone know what's happened to LT993? Seemingly hasn't been used since it strayed onto the 27/N27

8140 has returned to BC for a second time and is currently out on route S4. I wonder if this will eventually be allocated to the 315 considering the 481's going in a couple of months?
