What will the 490s extra 3 buses be? London Service Changes suggests the routes PVR will be increased from 15 to 18. It is currently allocated 8831-8842 (12 Buses) & 8787-8793 (7 Buses) totalling to 19 buses - This means it'll need one extra bus, I wonder if it'll use 8843 with the 130 gaining an ex C10 MMC.

Did the LTs transferred to Abellio from RATP for the 27 all get new blindsets? or are some of them still using RATP sets and only operate on the 27?

With route U9 in Harefield, is there a reason why it terminates at Harefield Hospital? Wouldn't it make more sense to instead have a shorter double run to serve the hospital, then terminate at Harefield West? My guess would be this is maybe related to driver break facilities at the hospital, however the U9 is a relatively short route, so breaks could be taken mostly in Uxbridge.

I think it could be more to do with residents objecting to buses standing in Mount Pleasant or there’s not a suitable place for a bus to stand in Harefield West. All breaks and changeovers are taken at Uxbridge, nothing is taken in Harefield

Buses serve Harefield West first, then the Hospital, then return directly to Uxbridge all without taking a break (there may be a "hesitation point" at Harefield Hopsital). Anyone travelling from Uxbridge to the Hospital travels via Harefield West, but returns direct. Anyone travelling from Uxbridge to Harefield West travels direct, but returns via the Hospital. This kind of route arrangement is quite common outside London.

For the majority of the day, it is 7 minutes with some variation in the early and late part of the day of between 2-12 minutes. There is one duty that has a 22 minute break when the service gap increases to 30 minutes from 20

There’s a possibility it could take on 8526 since that bus has no use at BC and there’s a handful of those at the garage where 490 Operates from?

Not sure if it's been mentioned here but Battersea drivers are seemingly being balloted by Unite for Industrial action of sorts due to the sacking of the Union rep.
It's just industrial action so there's no news on what will happen, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see Unite striking at Battersea should their demand for the rep to not be reinstated. Not too sure what exactly went down but I don't think we need to know that bit.

I've just read a post in the LVF Facebook group stating the 350 is being converted back to double decker operation over the coming weeks. Not sure if it's been mentioned already (or if it's officially confirmed). I wonder why this is happening.

Started off as a single decker route, became a decker route before becoming a single decker route again and is now being converted back to decker. You'd think someone somewhere would make their minds up

The person who posted that is very reliable in terms of Abellio news so it’s almost certain to happen unless a change further down the line happens.

Wasn't sure if it was just a random person stating nonsense. Gotta be careful in this community lol
