I'm a bit out of the loop here with the whole 270 situation.
On londonbusroutes.net it says the 270 is being retained with hybrids from QB? I thought it was getting smart hybrids?

It is getting smart hybrids. In addition, I posted the following bit of news two weeks ago that I'll re-quote to say that the 270 is no longer being based at QB A reliable source on The Londoner Facebook group has just posted that route 270 will now be based at BC as opposed to QB. This is due to better meal relief facilities being found closer to BC than QB. The route seems to be starting as planned on May 30th with a mix of the new E400H MMC's and existing Enviro400's currently being used on rail replacement until all of the new vehicles arrive. Munster just needs to update his page

Yes they would, although Croydon did have a shortage of drivers not so long ago so I suspect some of them will transfer onto other rotas. If no work can be found however and the driver chooses to stay with the company then they will more than likely be transferred to another garage within the company. It’s usually one of the garages within the area that they go to although I’ve heard of some Croydon drivers going to Northumberland Park! The fact that many C drivers will be going to NP and Go Ahead are currently recruiting for drivers at NP implies that not many or any drivers from the 67,106 and 230 will move over with these routes? Another option I had thought it that drivers for those routes could move over to TC or N to drive either the 202 or 405. Russ TA1 do you know how many NP drivers are moving to E with route 191? I personally know about 15 drivers that are going, anyone on 191 rota with First Contract have to go no choice, I also know 2 drivers who are on Go Ahead Contract but do have a choice of Staying but are going just for car parking issues and they also live near E Garage, mind you I know that most 67 drivers are coming and I also know few 230 drivers and they are coming too but not sure if anyone is coming with 106, will ask and let you know later, I was told that we do need 30 extra drivers for the contract start date of 67 and 106.

Not much of the 106 drivers are going, many of them want to stay within the company. Even some of the set that were TUPE'd to Arriva from Stagecoach do not want to go [NP] and have been given the option to stay within the company. I am sure that if any of the ex First drivers for the 191 wanted to stay and challenged the company they would be allowed to. This has happened at recent times where companies were offloading certain staff, then seen to be recruiting others. This practice is no longer allowed. So if Go-Ahead was seen to be taking on new drivers, ie for the 67, 106, 230 etc this could land them in hot water.

TBH I forgot to mention this my apologies, all ex first drivers were actually asked to stay but on condition that they come over to Go Ahead Contract, which means losing money and one week holiday entitlement otherwise they had no choice but to go to E, so they Refused the Offer from Go Ahead as they will lose too much so most of them decided to go except one ex first driver who decided to stay for some Personal reasons, I know all those drivers, we are good friends so I do know what's going on.

I most certainly haven't forgot😏 can't wait for those new SDE's to arrive. Should be the last batch of diesel MMCs RATP will order. It may not be if RATP win the 481 with new one door buses, though its perfectly possible that the route could get BEs in the event of a RATP win with two door buses. Route 481 will be an interesting one, as larger buses do fit on the route. IIRC I even saw a 10.2m example on that route 2 on 28.4.18.

I think Mogden Lane is the only bit not served by other routes (and that is quite a wide road). The 117 serves hospital grounds, then shares route with 11.3m 267 (and the 12m H37 shares for short distance). The middle part sees lots of 10.9m single decks. From Teddington-Kingston used to be 12m Citaros on X26 so not restricted that end either.

I remember back when the K1 was up for tender there was talk of the MMCs formerly allocated to the C10 moving to TF for the 481 allowing it to upgrade to two door buses with the 481's current allocation transferring to the K1 in the event on an Abellio retain.

Attachment DeletedLT613 seen on route 24 at Pimlico, Grosvenor Road displaying route 159 at the back (it's been broken for a while) - taken on a walk out, this bus stop just happens to be outside where I live so I thought it would be nice to share with you all who may not be able to see it. Attachment Deleted Abellio London LT613 (on route 24) displaying one fare paying sticker, why they didn't bother doing the other side I have no idea

This is my prediction of what I think will happen when the C10s MMCs become spare* and also the 4 13reg E200s too (*as there's 21 of them):
4 (8806, 8807, 8808 and 8809) will move back to TF for the H25 to complete its full 13reg allocation.
1 (8864) will go to the E7 to give it a full MMC allocation as I believe its allocated with 1 59reg E200.
8 (8844-8851) will go to the 290 and be used for the next contract with Abellio if retained. 1 61reg E200 allocated to the 290 could go to the H28 replacing the 59reg E200.
5 (8852-8856) will go to the 481, so it can be upgraded to longer buses and be used for the next contract with Abellio if retained.
6 (8857-8862) will go to the U7 and be used for the next contract with Abellio if retained.
And 8863 can just be a spare for the moment.

Whilst these sound likely, whats to say Abellio will definitely retain these routes if they replaced the ex 407 Enviro200’s and the U7/290’s batch with the C10’s MMC’s? Sure, they would have a lower bid price but a rival could also have existing buses available at that time. I think the C10’s MMC’s are leased seeing as their predecessors were and therefore could be returned off lease once all of the eCity Gold’s enter service. The 481’s existing MMC’s could be used on the 315 if won, but 8118-8127 still remain available. These are good buses so I hope they don’t go off lease but unless Abellio win the 463 and keep hold of the 367, then it looks likely they will depart.
