I didn’t say they don’t have room, but rather they must be nearing capacity. There is only so much space you can create to win routes and Abellio is not like other operators, GAL or Arriva for example, who have a spread of depots in much closer proximity to move routes around too if the win more routes. The Abellio depots are rather spread from each other which will ultimately negatively effect their ability to win routes. For sure I understand that, was just simply pointing out that they'll probably have enough room to fit in either one of the 28 or 328 into QB although i don't know that for sure but I do expect both routes to go to the same operator whether retained or not. Although I don't believe both will move (if they do move at all), apparently QB has plenty of space and even has room for both the 28 and 328

From what I’ve seen of the wins when TfL posts the results on their site Abellio don’t tend to do joint bids, so I could see them winning one, more likely to be the 28 imho but who knows.

They must have room if the 270 was meant to be moving in even before the C3 left. I didn’t say they don’t have room, but rather they must be nearing capacity. The Abellio depots are rather spread from each other which will ultimately negatively effect their ability to win routes. Certainly getting close to capacity as you say - I think both QB & BC have probably enough room for one more sizeable route each with WL now full bar something with a small PVR. No idea on the western garages.

Either 2026 or 2027 were the first buses to start off with 270

Either 2026 or 2027 were the first buses to start off with 270 and 2402 is first old bus, (4th bus out) presumably not yet enough of the routes new buses delivered

Would be interested to know the driver feedback on comparisons between the Smart hybrids and the regular ones. I take it it's not yet known which railway replacement bonnet numbers have been loaned to BC to cover the route. I do wonder if they will largely be used on the 109 and 407 instead

A reliable source had said that nine were delivered Certainly more than 6 there as 8 have entered service. Abellio themselves on Twitter confirmed there was 9 ready for service.
