It’s really no surprise that the Liz line and the DLR are taking all the Woolwich and Bexleyheath line passengers. Woolwich line yes, not so sure on the Bexleyheath - it still gets good healthy loadings most of the time, at least when I’m using it. Where the Elizabeth line really comes into its own for me is on my regular Saturday commute from the depths of SE London to Ealing - the Elizabeth line takes a huge chunk out of the time it takes to get there. In other SE news, the awful 376s are finally getting their refurbishments starting next year. Perhaps that will make them a bit less awful….

It can’t be more than the current 2tph without messing up SE further than what it’s already done. It calls at far too many stations for it to ever be attractive, you’d be better off getting the Liz line to Farringdon then change for Thameslink northwards, it’s removal would do wonders for the Dartford routes as a whole. Unfortunately we’re lumbered with the worse set of services the area has ever seen. It’s really no surprise that the Liz line and the DLR are taking all the Woolwich and Bexleyheath line passengers. I’d agree with having Thameslink only call at Greenwich, Woolwich Arsenal and Abbey Wood, Charlton is debatable due to the several retail offerings at the numberous retail parks. I wouldn’t agree with completely axing it, but there may be a case in reviewing the service east of Dartford. The problem is that the stations that are skipped would be left with a reduced service. It could be terminated at Dartford but I think most of the service is operated from Gillingham depot.

If it terminated at Dartford you may as well have the service call at all stations, and bring back the old CHX to Gillingham service via Blackheath instead, however I still don’t see much of a case for Thameslink to be ran via Woolwich, I’d route it via Sidcup Don’t lumber us Sidcup Line residents with it, we don’t want it.

I don't think there's much likelihood of Thameslink changing from the current route and it does offer something other than Cannon Street on the Greenwich/Woolwich line.

Not really, it’s just another city service, destinations north of Farringdon can be reached quicker via the Liz line and a change at Farringdon, most people on the line don’t want Thameslink and would prefer the old fast service back, it’s certainly not as beloved as the Liz Line is

Fair play, we on the Woolwich line don’t want it either, it’s a bad and slow service, most who want north London use the Liz line and change At Farringdon, it’s a waste of 2tph on the line.

Ideally I’d say the Thameslink run should be on a line some distance from the Liz. I’d say in order of preference the Maidstone East semi fast, followed by Sevenoaks via Orpington. Not sure Hayes is a good idea, and the other shorter distance SE services are all too close to the Liz.
