For anyone interested, the remaining Scania Bendybuses that Transdev operate on the T5-N1-N5 staff shuttle are due to be withdrawn within the next few weeks. It also coincides with restructuring the services to the 2 staff car parks on the Northern Perimeter Road.
The below email which I received yesterday states that the new shuttles will be operated by EV’s, however as of yet, I’m yet to see any out and about, so I suspect that’s a slight error and that in fact, it’ll be the Volvo B8R eVoRas which tend to form the mainstay of the T5-N1-N5 services nowadays.
“Dear all,
We are pleased to share some exciting changes for our N1 and N5 car parks operation, starting from the 12th of February. Our current bendy bus fleet that serves Terminal 5 has been plagued by frequent mechanical failures and it has become clear that the bendy bus fleet has reached the end of its serviceable life. With various reliability issues in recent weeks, we must take prompt action to ensure the scheduled service is maintained. With that in mind we have decided to replace the existing fleet with a brand new, more sustainable fleet of electric vehicles (EVs) that will directly serve Terminal 5.
Division of Operations:
To accommodate this change ,parking for Team Heathrow colleagues will be divided between N1 and N5 car parks. This will include a dedicated direct service for each car park, eliminating the need for buses looping between the car parks.
Opening Hours:
As part of this restructuring, we are removing limitations on specific opening and closing times for both N1 and N5 car parks. Both car parks will now be open 24/7, providing convenience and accessibility round the clock for our colleagues.
Who will park where?
To maintain a balanced occupancy in both car parks, from the 12th of February, N1 car park will be exclusively designated for British Airways and UKBF colleagues and N5 will accommodate HAL and the remaining users. Colleagues must ensure they only park in their respective car parks.
Frequency of buses:
To provide hassle-free travel experiences, both car parks will enjoy a peak frequency of 4 minutes and an off-peak frequency of 8 minutes, with a 20-minute interval during the night. Revised timetables will be shared soon.”

The weekly Bus News publication from the LondonTransport Google group had the following snippet a couple of weeks ago:
New dual doored Yutong E12 EV electric single deckers are arriving from Pelican. The first ones have arrived at Heathrow and currently, 17 have been logged. These are the first Yutong E12 buses to be built with dual doors. In addition, the premises at Electra Avenue at Hatton Cross, is undergoing major reconstruction, with around half of the area seemingly being converted for vehicle charging.
So they're not just directly replacing the 10 bendies. Although the mention of splitting the services - as well as the lower capacity compared with the artics - means there's probably a PVR increase.

One of those Yutongs is out on the T5 ULEZ shuttle. They have Green destination displays!

Seen a few of them about. Two have been outside the Academy most of the week. Not a fan of the green display!
