Thanks for starting a new thread on the topic and making me feel about two foot tall.
My apologies for believing the Outlet list on the Greggs website.

Sorry for snapping back on this occasion. It can be very frustrating here on occasions when you constantly feel you need to defend what you post on the forum. It stems from recent experience.

I knew about the Hermit Road one and it took me about a year to realise what they were. It is odd that there are three now. I wonder how many Greggs stores feed them with the supplies. I can understand the concept but it gets confusing when they start opening multiple stores. Surely there is a limit and your reach a point when you are making loses (or competing against yourself).

Clearly Greggs have decided it is worth a punt. Open outlet stores in areas which don't have a standard Greggs, and they can transfer unsold stock there each day rather than putting reduced price stickers on produce in the late afternoon so maintain the prices in conventional stores. Customers wanting a bargain know to go to an outlet rather than hope for s stickered bargain in a conventional store. Wins all round?

Sounds like a good idea to me Greggs are also on an app called Too Good to Go where it sells a "Surprise Bag" of items left over or close to the sell by date for £2.59. There's a few videos of peoples "haul" from Greggs on TikTok, the times I've used it the "haul" has been pretty good

I prefer my Greggs from Iceland though - 15% discount and I can heat it to my liking

They are well worth the money but in some cases there seems far too much food! How many cakes can a person / family eat?

I think the intention with a lot of these bags is to get people to potentially eat food after a best by date, but is probably still going to be fine in most cases. Shops can't sell them but it's less likely to go to waste.
