By what do you mean? People who read the Daily Mirror and Guardian, their conversation is intellectually stimulating?

The Guardian while left leaning has detail and substance behind articles, while the Daily Mail is known as the Daily Fail for a reason.

The reason is simply that it rymes🤣 ......just like The Royal Fail.

Before Covid I used to read a few papers in the library.
Now I mostly make do with BBC News, MSN, Yahoo News and occasional other websites.
I buy the papers when I want to keep a record of election results and their commentary.

Not hard to look at the quality of journalism involved. The Guardian while left leaning has detail and substance behind articles, while the Daily Mail is known as the Daily Fail for a reason. And that reason is that the left leaning portion of society has decreed it so Then how come there are no such names for the supposed left leaning media? I'm not against right wing media at all, I said myself I read the Standard where possible as I like its reporting that's London focussed but the quality of papers such as the Daily Mail and The Sun is abysmal.

And that reason is that the left leaning portion of society has decreed it so TBH, regardless of people's political persuasions, the Daily Mail is a terrible paper IMO - usually, it just thrives on stoking division and undermining ethnic minorities. I would also add the Sun, Star & Mirror are all pretty poor as well - the Mirrors website is especially terrible. The Independent & Guardian are really the only two I'd give any time too and even then, both aren't perfect

Which was at the time an offshoot of The Independent but it cut out all the bullshit, jargon and unnecessary opinions and just left short, sharp small articles which just gave the facts. Unfortunately papers like those don’t tend to survive and it is now existing under the DMG.

I tend to agree, but think the Daily Mail news reporting is first class, it is their opinions that let them down.
I look at the Daily Mail website sometimes, especially recently as I want to find out about that obnoxious Walter Mitty police chief constable, who wore that Falklands medal, to see if he has been deservedly dismissed. But then I look at the Daily Mail last week when they ‘report’ that a opinion poll has the Labour lead narrowed by only 12 points now and a lot of people undecided, what worldthey live in, they tried the same with Susan Hall in the London elections. I just don’t look at the opinion part, which is now behind a paywall.
Also The Mail, Daily Express, Telegraph & the Sun sold the country down a river with Brexit.

Although in fairness the mayoral one did narrow to 32/43 % as opposed to early polls of 24/49%

Sorry if I knew you were going to respond to my post, I would’ve not bothered - considering your vitriol to me in another thread.
But then again the mayoral race was never close as claimed and Khan vote share was more than the 2021 election, with 2 more seats. There you go, there are 2 facts for you, which I know you don’t find too easy to grasp - now you can go and make all your assumptions.

I was only pointing out the final result for the mayoral elections was different from the early polls and that until the day no one knows for sure the result.
