A bit of a twist; are there any consecutive routes which come close to meeting/crossing paths but don’t? For example, 196/197 at Norwood Junction and 59/60 at Streatham/Streatham Hill

They do cross paths so I wouldn’t count that as I did mention crossing paths. But if we talk strictly about not sharing stops but coming very close, then yeah I guess that’d be a pair

20 Debden - 21 Lewisham 175 North Romford - 176 Penge Routes 20 & 21 were early rides on GA Volvo B9TLs. When we lived in the Barbican routes 5 & 6 both linked Shoreditch with Aldwych. Now the shortest gap between them is Canning Town to Victoria.

The gap is just Oxford Circus to Tottenham Court Road but their common history means it feels as though they still meet, even though they don't. With route 8, it still feels as though the curtailment at Tottenham Court Road happened by accident.

Routes 17 & 18 are quite nearby, serving King's Cross and Euston respectively. Route 18 used to continue to King's Cross and London Bridge. Routes 42 & 43 at Liverpool Street and Moorgate respectively. They even serve a common station: Liverpool Street Elizabeth Line. I don't know whether routes 76 & 77 see eachother at Waterloo, depending on exact routeings there.

313 is up in Chingford and Potters Bar whilst 312 and 314 are both in S and SE London respectively 427 in West London between Uxbridge and Acton whilst 428 and the Eastern side of London between Bluewater and Erith I'm pretty sure 427/428 is unbeatable - Uxbridge to Bluewater is 53km (33 miles). Until recently 607/608 would have been my answer. Uxbridge to Shenfield is 56.7km (35.2mi) as the crow flies. Shame the 607 was renumbered (and not just for the purposes of this question).

Two good contenders could be 379 & 380 (Yardley Lane - Lewisham) And 385 & 386 (Chingford - Woolwich)

The 12 & 13 are separated by Oxford Street unlike a few years ago when they wererunning together for a distance between Oxford Street & Trafalgar Square.
The 13 & 14 cross each others path at Hyde Park Corner but don’t share the same stops
The 14 & 15 are separated by the small section of road between Piccadilly Circus & Trafalgar Square

The most interesting would be 370 - 371 - 372. While the 370 and 372 meet, in between you have the anomaly of 371 which is ~30 miles away
But yes as mentioned in a few posts above, the cutback of the 427 has implied that the 427 - 428 combo is the furthest away from each other

293 and 294? Both terminate right in opposite extremities, the former even outside the London boundary You also have the 292 which also terminates outside of London on the opposite side to 293
