This was posted on another group. In the Journey Planner, there is a new limited stop route 7X on the Carnival days between Brunel Road and Paddington, normal stops along DuCane Road then limited stop via the normal Carnival diversion route for the 7 - Shepherd's Bush, Notting Hill Gate and Sussex Gardens.

Do we know which X services are running? Seems every year theres a new route or one doesn’t run?
Laat Carnival all I could recall was the 2X and 36X.
Over the years weve had the 205X, 390X and 436x aswell. I imagine the two latter wont run since recent reroutes, but perhaps the 205X will run.
I think a 30X would be quite good

From the bus changes page... in true TfL fashion, the page dedicated to the Notting Hill Carnival (the one linked at the bottom here) has no mention of the special bus routes... never change TfL!

So only special routes 36X and 7X are running now? I can see why the 2X wouldnt be as needed, but the 205X theyve missed out here. No extra journeys on the 18 either. A lot of people use to use the 205X from the East end

If you see the original post on all the carnival changes, extras are running between Stonebridge Park and Baker Street

A reminder that route 316 will be using double-deckers for the two Carnival days, as it is diverted to Harrow Road/Elgin Avenue so won't be running along Royal Crescent.
As mentioned in reply #2 above.

Only two (!!!) buses running on the 27 at the minute. Its most likely a error and all buses are not tracking. It looks like a special schedule as the route is showing Y27 on LVF.

Just seen a 36X EH, nicely blinded, go past on Vauxhall Bridge Road.
Does anyone know if the 52s have any notices informing passengers of which 'branch' the bus is operating on barring the destination blind (which is rather uninformative in these circumstances without via points!)

Y52C (as lvf calls it) runs via the normal 52 LOR however is curtailed at Notting Hill Gate; running between Notting Hill and Victoria Y52K runs from Willesden to Victoria via normal 52 LOR up to Harrow Road/Kilburn Lane then diverts via 18 LOR along Harrow Road up to Edgware Road Station and then mirrors route 6 up to Victoria Station The section between Notting Hill and Harrow Road is not served.

Via points weren't always helpful when they existed either. In this August 2010 view, VPL189 is operating the diversion route to Willesden - and will pass none of the 'via points' that are being displayed! 52 in Unfamiliar Territory by Julian Walker, on Flickr
