A similar question. For those of you that snap buses with a phone, which do you use?

A similar question. For those of you that snap buses with a phone, which do you use? I use my IPhone 14 Plus for transport pics, it’s not perfect but certainly an upgrade over my old phone which was the 12. Shameless plug may I add, although this is an example shot with the 14+. WVN14 on the 473: flic.kr/p/2r79wyc. In general I do like rainy shots as I think when they are clear enough give a nice atmosphere. Also for a full sun shot demonstrated, we have T325 on the 428 in Dartford, again another shameless plug . flic.kr/p/2r1Wec8these LK65s are good things, will happily come down south again to ride a couple when I have the time.

iPhone 14 Pro Max but only if I must use a phone for photos esp at public setting. Still use the same phone for recording as that can’t be helped.
Still use an DSLR though when I can. Photo quality will always trump that. More so at event days. Feels too much like drinking coffee at Starbucks and saying you’re a coffee enthusiast. 😅

The first link is broken for me but the second pic looks glorious. I'm jealous of how well looked after DTs Enviro's are compared to some of the crap I have local to me on the TH routes, the difference between the interiors of the 61 reg Ts on the 289 and the native 10/60 plate Ts on the 250 is stark.

Thanks! The 10/60 reg would likely look much better if they had smart blinds like the 61 reg onwards do. Manual blinds no one likes, they shouldn’t have been purchased by Arriva until 2011 which is kinda ridiculous to me. Probably was the cheaper option but it’s not been good in the long run for presentation mostly. Although notably, the 150s Ts don’t look that bad despite being manually blinded and some of them are quite nippy and quick from riding them and seeing videos of them from my close mates, they are so much better than most of GYs lot. Odd faulty side or rear blind but nothing to the scope of THs lot. Also down that side of London the 157s 59/60 reg Ts didn’t look bad at all ethier from what I saw, they seemed to have been taken better care of more. I know the route was driven by TH drivers but assumed engineers from N were the ones maintaining them. Really it seems more of a TH problem regardless.

I use a Samsung Galaxy A55, which I did formerly use for photos, but have now moved to taking pics with a DSLR camera, specifically the Nikon D3200. That said, my phone still sees the odd bus pic!

In my experience N take better care of their buses than most garages, and focus on of the smaller details like updating garage codes on buses, which is often forgotten by others (a few Ts on the 250 still have EC codes!).
