Another fire within a month brings south east commuters to a standstill, this time its Bermondsey only a couple of miles from the last fire at New Cross isnt it time that car repairs/scrapyards are banned from operating in or near railway arches.

I was on the 469s yesterday (love it!) and pulled into Woolwich on time. By the time i had filled up, and left lots more on the pavement, i was well late. Took me 1hr 51mins to do the trip, and that was gone 8pm! I could have very easily filled up a double decker last night.
Also, heard there was a serious crowd problem at North Greenwich, police were 'in attendance', which involved herding people into buses using both doors.

Yeh I caught a 185 from Victoria it was manic Police were in attendance on horseback to manage the crowds. I think most trains were leaving Victoria empty as you couldn't get near them. Lewisham was not too good either took three hours to get from Victoria to Thamesmead. Heard from a colleague that North Greenwich was bad with the Bus Station Controllers struggling to cope (watch out Cluckingbell).
